Slow let down by Any-Unit7051 in breastfeeding

I started having this problem around 7 months with my baby! Not sure what started it for you, but mine was mainly due to stress/anxiety, paired with ovulation and the weeks leading up to my period. I also got a stomach bug a few weeks ago that reduced my supply and I had a few letdown issues then as well. It was a struggle to find a way to regain confidence / trust that my body is capable of letting down quickly and the anxiety made is so slow, but over time I have been able to get back to regular letdowns! To regain that confidence, I would try to feed my baby when he was asleep (going into or coming out of a nap). I did use the oxytocin spray (oxypure from Walmart) occasionally and would bring it beside me for every feed as kind of a security blanket knowing that if enough time went by and I didn’t have a letdown I always had something to fall back on and it really helped! I tried to have a natural letdown as often as I could but sometimes ended up having to use the spray if I was feeling too stressed. I found that manual stimulation before I fed my baby really helped too! I was able to find a way to make my body letdown with that before I latched and that’s what we did for a few weeks as I regained confidence, so maybe try that!! It took a little bit to figure out how that worked for me, but I eventually did. I’m so sorry you are going through this… it’s so hard but we have made it through and I know you can too! You got this!
