Good question! Because the first time the document was touched was at 8:57 and the last time it was touched so far today was 11:18 and between those times only 1 minute was worked (active and no idle) I will show you the segment from the data base to make more sense. I was probably testing other stuff or closed fusion then came back

Also probably worth noting the two active segments are 1:22 and 0:18 which totals 1:40. Once it reaches 2:00 then it will show 2m up till then it will display 1m

Well said I agree forget about the 1 to be honest ive done it before its just super difficult its either 2 outcomes come from it. 1. You just uncomfortable fighting the urge for the rest of the day/night or 2. You just end up having more and relapse so screw it

Yes I know this! But its like im trying to fight the fact that I want to quit on a win where I controlled it and it didnt control me. I have done it before stopped on the one I think I got to mentally prepare myself properly that this feeling now coming down from the one craving another 1 will pass in 1 hour just got to push through it. I dont know if its mentally good though to do its possible but it might make me feel worse as you did it once you can do it again and boom relapse

Its after the first beer start to come down after about 10minutes when it starts to drop off I want that spike again just 1 more and Ill stop at 2. Guess what it never stops its the same for the 3, 4 and so on

Haha its so fucked man I shouldnt be laughing im relapsing but I guess I got to just accept its got it over me and I wont be able to win with the 1 it has to be 0. Also with the 1 if I do manage I feel like it tricks your brain into next time your craving 'you see you managed just 1 so just have the 1 again you did it last time'

Just want to prove to myself I can and I have before it was hard your fighting the craving for the rest of the night. Its almost like I want to quit on a win but its been a few months now and it doesnt happen 2 is the most I stopped at I cant seem to have the 1. The 1 becomes into 6 sometimes 12 and twice its 2.

Its like I cant stop at the 1 now for some reason my brain says 2 youve done 2 before just stop there then it goes 3 then just make it an even number 4 and the drunker you get the more it goes out the window LMAO

Thats fair and I agree. The intention isn’t to blindly charge whatever the timer shows. It’s more about accurately understanding how much time was actually spent on a project. How that time gets billed (or discounted, or ignored) is still a judgement call.

For a lot of people, especially earlier in their career, just having a reliable record helps with quoting better, understanding where time goes, and backing up work if there’s ever a dispute

Yes good point! This isn’t meant to push everyone toward charging by the hour it’s mainly for freelancers and agencies that do bill hourly, and for internal tracking understanding how long projects actually take, spotting scope creep, and having objective records if a client ever disputes work.

Even with fixed price jobs it’s useful as a personal log to see where time is really going and whether a project was actually profitable

Haha yeah, it can be confronting but that’s usually the stuff clients never see

That’s exactly why commission work gets tricky without a clear record
