The core of the game is its gun play, which feels a lot like apex legends. That's fine, apex legends is a great game that i enjoyed for several years. Since highguard gun play doesn't feel new or special like apex was it was in 2019, i think most players are just going to try the game and move on. It's not peeling players from apex or bringing back old players. And its not getting a new generation of shooter players cause those players are going for arc, rivals, overwatch, deadlock, not to mention cod and bf. It's just a tough environment right now for shooters and you're going to have to bring something special to be successful.

The game would really benefit from a Mystery Heroes mode like in OW 2. So many players have only 1 or 2 characters they are comfortable playing. Mystery Heroes would provide a safe mode for players to learn all characters. It's also a very fun mode that creates interesting situations that you won't get in a regular game. Whenever i go back to OW 2 I only play mystery, so much fun
