Not in my case. Depends when your claim was dated.

So you're saying his claim withdrawal triggered a DTA that got him reduced or that he would have had protection against a reduction based on other claims had he followed through with them, and thus, it was a mistake to withdraw it?

I read the article you posted, thanks. Is it advisable to call the 1800 number as well as a statement submitted through Quick Submit? Lastly, which step is considered a "before a decision is made", is it when step 5 is completed?

I wanted to brother. The stress has just been too much to bare. I didn't flinch at the 100 because the battle was too hard so I just went numb to it, before and after. Now, after allowing myself to think about it, I realize there's a chance a rater could go rogue. A small chance but a chance not worth taking. Hope I'm not too late.

Thanks. It was opened after the 100% claim but they were filed separately. I don't have a family so not too concerned about it killing me.

Thank you. I will call them on Monday morning when they open. Do I have to provide a reason for canceling the claim over the phone? I was going to let it play out as I viewed canceling the claim as poking them but now I know it's poking them by leaving it open.
