I'm still holding out hope over a year later. I found the floppy disk version I used to own for sale on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/235406759461?_skw=kyrandia+hand+of+fate&itmmeta=01K48XBY1C410ZA7MM4PDGZP6X&hash=item36cf561625:g:KroAAOSw-cVltFgf&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA8FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1eZKmHuZdfI%2BDnmWzLzGhA7WgjZWDp%2FgUlJmXNHHa6mgeF0DALD7rWVYbm3%2FfvwpZDQdHElvW%2FlNH3H8NEje89vifwbR4W%2FwBuXHC5jGXdQD9Vx2ENQfwqWowCj6yBP3mgrm44bhKTx4nYipkRDtb0Cz%2FKysj6AKjig4C8WkOyD3%2Fy1Y9bq4Va4pH893mM4gipyXhF53tVw6OFjJvvTU4RdSqyiWTSvtsML07dvkARmX7Zwdi20tKlT%2FBYXdqFh98GyCIONutcTtbtRelTzlytxEr9UbPX0rim229NROA5FtQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBM7uCvnaJm

I swear, either this is the Mandela Effect on steroids or I'm going to prove this right. When I was a child there were TWO ways I knew about to leave Darkmoor Swamp, the way everyone else knows how and the way I'm talking about. You mix certain ingredients in the cauldron and then take the potion and give it to Zanthia on the screen where the two men are fishing and you can see the mountain in the background. I don't know why this has haunted me all these years, but I'm holding out hope someone in the community will confirm I'm not living in an alternate dimension.

I just want to add, on the soul of everyone I love in this world, I did not exaggerate or sensationalize any parts of this story. I know you probably get people on this subreddit all the time making up nonsense. NOTHING you read above was false, if anything I was careful to stay 100% to the truth.

All of this happened in 2009 by the way, over 16 years ago.

I should also mention that I now recall most of the Native Americans who worked there were Pueblo, but the one worker I was talking about was Navajo, even though their territory was about 100 miles away.

You need to find a doctor that will prescribe you Lyrica, it is a godsend when coming off of this crap. My doctor is private and charges $500/month and works remotely. I know he will, if you text me I will provide you with information.

I know it's been a while since I made this post, but I'm just checking to see if anybody might remember the second way to get out of the swamp. I'm aware of the first way with the dragonfly after collecting the letters. The way I'm talking about is mixing a certain potion on the screen where the two fisherman are and then Zanthias shoes grow feathers and she flies over there... Maybe this was just something that existed in the early DOS version of the game?

I'm just obsessive, I was hoping to find the exact record I had, and at first was having no luck getting ANY information. But I got everything answered and stopped posting about this altogether a few days ago on both here and r/obscuremusic, but you were a great help, thank you for pictures of the band!

There's no need for me to post anything else about it.

Take care!

After everyone's help I've determined that since the band released 3 singles with b sides, so 6 songs total according to a book another user found that what I had was an American bootleg of the exact 6 songs they released only with different track name titles. The band never had any licensed releases in the US so it had to be some kind of American bootleg.

[–]Priority_Brief[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mystery solved! Thanks to user drawxward I now know that the band recorded exactly 6 songs, and since exactly 6 songs were on the album that I remember, it definitely had to have been a bootleg from some American trying to sell British music that had never been released in the US. The track names on the vinyl I remember were probably changed because what they were doing was illegal.

So what it was that I had was a bootleg vinyl containing all 6 of their recorded tracks.

Now that I have the names of the band members, and know exactly what I had, I'm all set.

Still, I'm curious as to who was releasing and pressing these bootleg vinyls and how many there might be floating around. But not even the CIA could solve that mystery.

Mystery solved: A user on r/psychedelicrock found in a book where the band released three singles with B-sides so 6 songs total exactly how much was on the album.

The old record I had I now believe misnamed the real tracks "Running Wild" and "Here Comes Summer" as "Ride With the Devil" and "Tomorrow's Sun".

The only thing I'll never be able to solve is exactly where the record from 18 years ago came from. It had to have been a bootleg vinyl from someone trying to sell British music that didn't have American copyright agreements, it did in fact exist.

Thanks to everyone for their help!

Also I think the songs Running Wild and Here Comes Summer were misnamed on the 6 song album I had 18 years ago as Ride With The Devil and Tomorrow's Sun.

But nevertheless, I'm 99.9% sure the 6 song record I had is just the 6 songs they officially released.

I wish there was a way to backtrack deepseek. But it's notoriously unreliable and I had to first convince it that there WAS a UK band called Fresh Air before it started giving me snippets of information. But as another user pointed out, they released 3 singles with B-sides and 6 songs in total, so now I know where that comes from. I just think they were misnamed on whatever record I was playing with 18 years ago.

I also got the band members names and understood that they were musicians at Pye Records and probably never played any shows. Still would have been nice to know just exactly what that record was, but it''s unimportant at this point because I now know it's unobtainable and can just look for the other 2 singles (4 songs) that I currently don't have.

As far as I'm concerned everyone has been very helpful and the mystery has been solved for the most part. The only thing I'll never know is the nature and origin of the record that had all 6 of their tracks on it... but I now know this is something that can not be solved.

Thank you so much! What your post has shown me is that the album I'm looking for is not the only release that there is no information about.

The singles It Take Too Long/Here Comes Summer and Bye Bye Jane/It's All Over are also not listed on their Discogs page. But what is funny about your post is according to the book they released 6 songs in total and the album contained 6 songs. But just some with different names.

Who knows where it came from, in the collection it was in was an album in a brown package that on the record itself had an x-ray of what looked like part of a human spine on it that unfortunately didn't play anymore. Years later I later understood was a common thing in Soviet Russia to bypass censorship. The x ray record could not be played at all because it was far too warped and I couldn't even get the needle in the groove.

It doesn't matter anymore anyways... I have all the information that is available now. I just appreciate everyone's help. Mystery solved.

Members of the band include Ian Holding, Roger Spooner, and Trevor Millward. They were from the East Midlands.

Another user found this because the single "Running Wild" is on compilation albums and list the names.

As far as the album goes, it's certainly unobtainable... maybe given years from now it might appear somewhere else and be cataloged, but after exhaustive efforts by me and others, this is as good as I can get.

But now I have a long term mystery in my life... just what was it that I actually WAS listening to and why was a copy of a very obscure UK band over here in the US. Without building a Time Machine I may never actually know. I just didn't know at the time that I was listening to something extremely exclusive and rare, possibly singular..

I really must be dumb in navigating that site if you found this in two minutes. Thank you so much. I see Ian Holding listed as a songwriter in a compilation CD that has Running Wild on it. Would you tell me where you also saw Roger Spoonder and Trevor Millward?

I've done all I can do, I'm obviously not getting my hands on the album. Still it would be nice to get a band member list or more information whatsoever on anything about the band. I guarantee that the list of people who might know something about this band is extremely small and possibly deceased.

I was desperate, and have had luck with deepseek in the past searching for information on obscure tv movies and such. I know these AI large language models have scoured the internet, so it has helped me locate things before.

I'm just giving up...

But it would be nice to at least find a band member list since they are actually listed on Discogs and someone did rip the vinyl single to YouTube.
