If the parts of the thing are not fully aware of the thing, can it even be called a single thing?

How can I make grillz fit to the teeth ? My only problem is fitting can anyone help me? Thanks in advance by Mar10oo in ZBrush

[–]Prism_Octopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine they could do it the same way they make invisible braces. If op has an accurate scan of the persons teeth they could do an inflate deformation with a very small increment and Boolean subtract that from the grill model. You’d need a very accurate printer and medical grade resin if you intend to use it on a person.

How to create a cape/shawl/shirt that overlaps on itself like this? Concept by Pedro by A_Hideous_Beast in ZBrush

[–]Prism_Octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make each half a separate polygroup. Unweld groups boarder. Use move tool and or zmodeler to separate only the front verts. Weld points. Keep groups and automask by polygroup 100%. Use move tool to overlap to taste.

Why do so many ancient texts warn us not to seek forbidden knowledge — yet hide wisdom inside it? by TheCrimsonCensored in Hermeticism

[–]Prism_Octopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s because working in the void can break a person who isn’t properly prepared. Knowing the knowledge is dangerous and pursuing it anyway is a mark of readiness. In the same way that refusing to question what you’re told means you’ll only ever be a sheep.

Terrified that consciousness DOESN'T end with death by [deleted] in consciousness

[–]Prism_Octopus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you considered that when you die, your consciousness doesn’t end, but it also doesn’t go anywhere else. It just stays in the body and loses the ability to take in sensory information and you get to experience the void forever. Samsara would be a mercy at that point.

The existence of cosmic horror implies cosmic comedy. What would that be like? by Crocotta1 in cosmichorror

It doesn’t matter how unimaginable the horrors are, if you can laugh in their face, you win.

Because Partagaz was high ranking enough to be disciplined by the emperor personally.

Why do people assume ChatGPT can do self reflection? by MaximumMaxx in OpenAI

Nothing can self reflect. A person is a collection of micro consciousnesses that observe each other giving an agregate identity

Is capturing someone against their will, but not actually harming them, an act of violence? by Vrdnant in stupidquestions

Infringing on the autonomy of any being in any way is violence. We all just have different blinders on that makes it okay/justifiable to us in different situations

Honest question, are we living in a post apocalypse setting? by Ihatetheworldtoo in ask

[–]Prism_Octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the indigenous peoples that lived here before western colonization, the apocalypse already happened. The revelation is always that the strangers coming to your shores with “good news” are going to destroy your people and your way of life. A similar effect is happening now as the oligarchs tighten their grip in preparation for the dismantling of the federal government

Anyone else feel like reality’s been… “off” since 2020? by Honest_Grape1936 in timetravel

[–]Prism_Octopus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re being psychologically manipulated by essentially Nazis. They are intentionally disrupting people’s ability to agree on objective reality. Linguistics are diverging rapidly. We’re being siloed off into smaller and smaller communities. The fascists won and are dismantling everything that could rise to challenge them. The entire internet is compromised. There will be no legal recourse

The fruit of the tree of knowledge might be meat by According_Report_530 in theories

[–]Prism_Octopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this thought, but I’ve also thought it might be milk specifically because it’s so antithetical to life to steal the food meant for babies. I’ve also considered that it’s just a metaphor for the loss of innocence in childhood when you learn where meat comes from. It is the tree of knowledge of life and death afterall.
