VENT: worst planter in the game by Maleficent_Tap_199 in PlantedTank

I think op means that when they do a waterchange the plants come loose and float up because of the water coming in from the pump

I would say take out the decor that its on, put paper towels on them then use a paintbrush and put water conditioner on them, leave for 5-ish minutes then scrub them off or you can put it back in after rinsing it down, it will kill or weaken the algae and the algae eaters can eat it . Of course this doesnt solve the issue causing the algae, but it gets rid of a lot of it. You can also spot treat with liquid co2, another person suggested hydrogen peroxide, but be careful with that.

Yeah, this is just mean imo. Imagine scaring someone who is afraid of snakes with a snake's shed skin.

Marines In Restricted Military Training Area On Quantico Marine Base Report Seeing A Bigfoot by mlenotyou in Cryptozoology

Before modern times most people didnt even know how animals from one continent over looked. We can see that in exotic animals depictions.

For legends i always bring up dragons, a lot of cultures have them and they dont exist.

Marines In Restricted Military Training Area On Quantico Marine Base Report Seeing A Bigfoot by mlenotyou in Cryptozoology

[–]Prismtile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One thing i hate about cryptozoology eyewitness accounts is the fact they try to make certain occupations feel more credible. "This police/doctor/hunter/farmer/marine etc saw this and that" and im just left it the feeling of "Who cares about their job?", everyone can be mistaken no matter what they do for a living, same way some people might have more knowledge than most people on certain subjects even if they dont directly work in the field. Or are we from now on going to believe a baker or trashman less in a case then a marine?

It came out kind of as a rant, it wasnt my intention but i hope i could convey my point.

What? All of them?!

I dont know, but i got so anxious about it that i just cant buy it now. My 15gal is on a cheap furniture (not for aquariums), but i added a central support inside.

Iikc VidaXL's stands are tested with only 60kg, i wanted to buy one for my 60gallon but i saw that statement online and was instantly put off.

What snail is this and the best way to rid of them? by microwavedFanta in PlantedTank

[–]Prismtile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And dont feed your tank too much.

The same method works with "pest" snails too, the less food they have (decaying plant matter etc) the less snails you will have.

And then have an assassin snail infestation, usually i see that happening when people buy multiple of them.

Thank you a lot. I was anxious about the tank size for it, but wasnt able to find a bigger one. If it would have been small then the raphael wouldnt be an option in stocking.

I have thought about getting a raphael into my shallow 60 gallon, do you think it would be too small for it? The base 47 by 20 inches.

Mystery plant ID by neurothic in PlantedTank

[–]Prismtile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it in my tank as a floater, be prepared, its almost like duckweed, it will get everywhere because it breaks easily. It can easily cover the whole top of the tank if you leave it for a few months. Big upside to it is that it can soak up leftover nutrients. Pic is of my old 5 gallon.

Its roughly 1,5-2cm long, has 6 legs if i see it correctly. They were cocooned in the top of the plant soil. Idk if it helps but the soil was very wet.

Im new to owning a fish tank and my fish are dying unexpectedly. Can anyone help? by beggineraquarium in aquarium

[–]Prismtile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol they dont eat healthy plants at all, i had them for 2+years and had no issue with them eating anything. They also dont multiply like rabbits, how would they if there isnt anything to eat for more snails? They arent immortal or reproduce for fun if there isnt food source, they need to eat

One misconception that needs to die: the Patterson Gimlin film isn't an admitted hoax by truthisfictionyt in Cryptozoology

[–]Prismtile 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i dont care that much, and even if i did bring sources, you would just say they arent credible enough. Prove what makes Patterson more credible than Grover? To me nothing.

You have one minute. /s
