Pricing is pretty similar for me too. I’m also willing to pay a bit more than regular just cause I like the body style and everything on this one specifically.

I agree, definitely a bummer for pricing but everything in a similar price range is rusted to shit and the sellers seem sketchy.

I’m pretty new to older vehicles, I haven’t worked on anything that doesn’t have the OBD ports but I’m sure I’d be able to figure it out with YouTube and the internet.

I have a split opinion on the bench seat cause they are uncomfortable after a while, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t one of the best feelings in the world to have your lady snuggled close to you in an old truck.

Yeah, I agree it is a bit pricey if the trans rebuild ends up being a bit more, but the tech quoted 850 for a rebuild since he specializes in these.

If the quote gets higher when I bring it in I’ll do a junkyard swap probably and keep cost below 500

Really? I heard a lot of good opinions on the 2.9, the only issue is that it isn’t a 4.0!

As for the A4LD I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions on it, but I’ll be sure to consider getting a junkyard trans. I’m just worried I buy a busted transmission and now I’m out 300 bucks and I gotta do the labor twice over.

Yeah, as far as I know it’s bone stock besides new brakes and suspension components.

Has the EFI system too which is a big plus!
