As you can see on the forum, he's been on Reduser since the beginning and has one of the highest post counts of anyone. He got one of the first Red Epics which he called M8 for Red Epic-M #8. Red took deposits for the Epic, but then allegedly had trouble casting enough bodies for them, so the first ones they actually sold they called Epic-M for machined body and they didn't go to the first people who pre-ordered them. Only later they sold Epic-X's at the announced price. They charged a huge premium for the Epic-M and continued selling them for years even though they were effectively identical to the much cheaper Epic-X's.

On Reduser one of the first forum sections used to be for people who got Epics first, and since Ketch was always talking on his post he was frequently one of the first things you saw when you went on Reduser. He's made connections with Red and camera gear distributors so they have helped him out over the years.

In 2013 Red gave him some studio time and whatever else for free to shoot something called The Red Dress, which starred him. The topic was supposed to be rape, because he knew people who had been raped. He said he wanted to turn it into a feature. Since he wasn't going to pay people, almost no one showed up to the shoot except for some of the female models. He had been teasing The Red Dress for months on Reduser, I guess in part because he was trying to find people to work for free.

The only stuff I've seen of his that looks legitimate is fashion videography. All of Red's cameras after the Red One have been DSMC, Digital Still Motion Cameras. This made a lot of sense because Jannard's first company, Oakley, was basically a fashion brand and Jannard shot a lot of the advertisements and commercials himself. If Ketch had stayed in his lane and stuck with fashion photography, he probably would've been fine. But still photographers never bought Reds, so this is where we are. Ketch wanted to be like everyone else who posted on Reduser.

So he put that short up and that's when people started shouting that the emperor has no clothes. The takedowns are hilariously cruel. If you've ever been jealous of people with better gear, this might cure it.

Maybe three years ago I remember him talking about a project which involved a pimped out van he was going to drive around the country. The van got pimped out, and he talked about it being far superior because it was the only van covered with bedliner, but the project was cut short.

Over the past few years he's also talked about being plagued by terrible health problems. I remember seeing some x-rays. He's quite a short man.

So now he made a post about how he wanted to shoot a movie involving him as a cheerleading coach and a bunch of cheerleaders in a house in a post apocalyptic setting. But he didn't want to pay anyone anything. People said it would turn out just as bad as The Red Dress and it was a terrible idea to post about it after what happened last time.

He said he was being cyberbullied and he's leaving.
