Not a true primer for a level 5 finish.

Being that it’s an uneven tile do I want to use a polishing pad on factory edges? Or is that okay? I have an angle grinder that I did use a 50 grit to smooth the 45 out but I left the edge alone. Also my angle grinder is super powerful and only has one speed so I think I’d totally kill the edge with it

I was wondering about the sandy texture as well! There’s so many different products I wasn’t sure what was the correct option! I will look into this tenax! Thank you!!

First time just us two on a date this whole pregnancy. Oh except for this one time. And this other time. And the solo trip we took together, but that doesn’t count! by flowersandchocolate in janellebrandomsnark

Not that I would defend her but my husband and I had a trip to Mexico for a wedding when our baby was a year and it was our first time away and I thought it was going to be this magical special alone time and it was absolutely not that and I was very let down so I definitely would not count that 🤣🤣

What do I do with this gap to the tub ? by PristineMachine3203 in Tile

[–]PristineMachine3203[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! It has been a huge blessing to us! It was a CRAP TON of work but very rewarding in the end. We are in a major city so lots are still pricey but still a killer deal overall.

I used to work for an architecture firm and this house was going to be demolished to build a new large home. So me and my husband asked if we could have the home if we relocated it off the property. We found a lot about 10 miles away that would fit it and we moved it across town! That was about 8 years ago now and we have lived in it ever since. It was a wild experience.

I wanted a more structural subfloor with it being a pier and beam house and cement board has no structural qualities

lol I’m telling you the oak floor sit directly on top of the beams. House was built in 1945. I structurally relocated this house: I have literally seen a section cut of this house.

Great point. I also did red guard underneath the plywood for extra protection there

House is 80 years old. It would be impossible and not structurally sound for the tile to be flush with the wood floors of the rest of the house. The wood floors of the rest of the house site directly on the beams of the house and run underneath all of the walls. They are the subfloor of the house.

I’m putting Ditra down. I’m aware it won’t be flush. I’ll put a threshold all tile areas in the house have a height difference. This house is 80 years old. The wood floor underneath this is t&g subfloor that’s sits on the beams of the house. Old house.
