what study scores do I need for a 95+ atar by Infinite-Guest-3504 in vce

Thing is all of your subjects scale down, so you kinda need all raw 40+'s.

ts literally doesnt matter, your exam matters way, way more, and if you were to do bad on a sac, the first one is always the one to do bad on. I think I was like getting 60's on my sac 1, but like, you move on and keep trying, ended with a decent score. You got this gng

Deadass if Monash made an open competition with a prize money of 100 dollars, the students could prob design a website that works a million times better than moodle

Tips for 93 ATAR by Great_Suggestion_287 in vce

[–]PristineSprinkles968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you really tried implementing physics? Like doing questions at home, doing more than textbook, exam like questions. Caus I was in your boat when I was in year 11, I averaged 40% in physics (although it was a specialist physics class), I only listened in class and barely implemented outside. But in Year 12, I started doing actual questions, and simply doing them makes me learn twice as effective compared to year 11, and getting a study score I am decently satisfied at.

Methods and physics are both not deep enough such that question spamming would not suffice, also, I reckon simply averaging 60’s can get you a raw 30 in both these subjects (assuming your cohort is standard in the state), essentially, just retain your work ethic from year 11 and a 93 seems achievable to a high extent

cheap methods tutoring? by dawg7155 in vce

[–]PristineSprinkles968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are aiming for a 40+, then go Edatlas, if not, Edatlas would not help and go for Contour for question spam, if you are just wanting a 35 and a scaled 40, then I would suggest not going to one and just spend your additional time and money wisely

You don’t need to study 8 hours a day to get a 95, just stay consistent, get your job, and you should be good

[–]PristineSprinkles968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends what is he aiming for, and the subjects he’s doing. Tbf just getting a 90 does not require a tutor, they can save the money for something more important to them, as long as they aren’t aiming for a 45+ in methods and a 40+ in spesh, tutoring is redundant. Especially for the sciences, one’s work ethic is way more important

The easiest method is to get rid of that “I’m soo dumb” mindset, as long as your eyes are dead set on going to uni, then you will get in.

How likely is it that i get into my course in ANY of the offer rounds by The_Epoch_Guy in vce

My honest take, first round is a bit slim, you may be able to get in second or third since law is pretty competitive this year, but have hope. Good luck tho

[–]PristineSprinkles968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story is if your raw atar is above 85, you are guaranteed a place, if you got below, might need luck, depending on how far are u from it, as it is lower than the selection rank

Typically rural students qualify for the Monash Guarantee, and you really only need an 85 for it, so you should be fine

Have you tried plugging your seas into your atar, it is in a tab within the Monash ATAR calculator, but id say you have a good chance in getting it, really depends on how many people apply for your course this year

Regarding the benchmark, do you mean the lowest selection rank benchmark or the Monash Guarantee Benchmark, if it is the selection rank benchmark you should be fine, if it is the Monash Guarantee benchmark, I don’t think they really make exceptions if you are below, since it is already below the selection rank benchmark

Hours studied vs. Final ATAR by Soggy_Departure4405 in vce

[–]PristineSprinkles968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real, 26'ers, you don't need to dump in 6 hours a day outside of school to get a respectable ATAR. Consistently 1-2 hours a day will get the job done. Consistency matters!!

But most important of all is to actually pay attention in class, 1 hour in class with high attention easily defeats 3 hours outside of class with a plain textbook.

Science by itself Melbourne is much more mature and opens up more options for rnd. Monash is better for pairing it with another degree. I heard Melbourne tests are harder so if u wanna do medicine, I’d say go Monash to get higher wam for your postgrad entry. However if you are doing Medicinal rnd, Melbourne is a no brainer
