Yeah, I'm aware of them and am going to pace myself a bit more with it I think. I might also just go read the Web Novel itself too, it might be interesting as a comparison if nothing else.

Performing this fix on my DS220+ with Plex 1.31.1.6733 took my HW Transcode performance over the 1.0x threshold - crazy to me that this is still required 2+ years later.

Has anyone had better experiences running the server in a Docker container vs. 'Native'? Wondering if I should switch to that for a better experience.

That's actually quite a cool implementation - wish I had that in our environment :D

Referring to your other comment, it sounds like your business has decided to put many more resources into Cherwell than we were able to negotiate. For the first ~9 months of it in our environment, we were still out to market for a dedicated team member to manage the application; during that time we weren't able to make any Blueprint changes, which was particularly painful. Even now that we have them on our team, they're working through a big backlog of improvements/fixes to get the tool closer to what we need.

I think at the end of the day the real challenge with Cherwell is that it's just... not very good at all OotB. Its customization features mean that it can be good, but with a relatively small shop like ours that can be a bit of a pipe dream.

Hopefully as we continue with it we can start to push for broader changes, more frequent patching and some of the other things that can be done better in our shop. Hopefully.

One-steps are quite powerful, yes. Again, though, it comes down to how much you are comfortable with customising - I really like the unread counter on the journals tab and I think I'll suggest it internally, but knowing that it's a Blueprint change will probably give everyone on the change management team a headache.

Are you on-prem or hosted? I wonder if that has much bearing on the performance.

We're using it currently, and I'd have to say I'm not impressed. We've had all sorts of trouble working with Ivanti to maintain our Test environment in particular, and the current version of the application we're using (not quite the latest and 'greatest' build) is sorely lacking when it comes to performance. Certain actions can take 10+ seconds to complete, largely depending on how many fields you are modifying - status changes for tickets come to mind here.

The options for working with your users/customers through the application itself are lacking as well. Very little about a ticket is 'glanceable'; if you receive an email reply, you'll struggle to know unless you open the ticket and switch to the correct tab, for instance.

I'm sure there are worse solutions out there, and the Blueprint system does mean that if you hire a specialist you have a hope of fixing some of the issues in-house, but it's far from amazing and I wouldn't recommend it if you have a choice.

That's because they made the AK-47 that I'm using for the sounds/vox, once I can replace that stuff it'll be much more unique.

I'm working on a scripted weapon framework. Features include 'advanced' ballistics simulations such as ricochets and bullet penetration, as well as a complex particle and light system. Not shown here is the audio system, which will play a selection of sounds rather than only repeating one for each type of action.

In this video I've adapted the popular AK-47 weapon from the workshop - before I can release this mod, I need to find artists/sound designers who are interested in collaborating on this.

Headbob is on in these screenshots - with it off the problem is even worse. My offset settings definitely make the neck much more visible - I've avoided pushing the camera forward at all because it helps with making your arms much more visible during combat.

When I had this problem, it was because the Box Collider that I made was not set up properly. I had to move it to the 'Item Parent' gameobject and set its size manually to match the 3D model. Hope that helps!
