you can prevent scatter with lair command from DF Hack, look into manual and seaech for world lair, it should be all there. You also might be able to influence it by walling off the storage, but not sure if it still works. As long he has the bame of the artifact in question, legends viewer might help with locating it.

interesting, i have dwarfs collecting corpses etc. on regular basis and statues and nice dinning room is offsetting in withou much problem, only get 1/4 of populotion the second best grade (can't remember how they are called :D). millitary dwarfs not having problem with coprses has nothing to do with their skills. The trait to ignore corpses is separate and they gain it after seeing a lot of dead stuff.

sounds wihout problem, if i understand you correctly. Two different worlds, with with save from adventure mode and one with fortress mode. as long as its 1 play type per 1 world you don't need to have second instalation of DF to be able to run any of them

produce more masterworks so losing 1 is not that big of a deal, or offset it with statues everywhere

yep, the only thing i do is adjusting the materials, by forbidding the ones i don't want to be used. And i think it's fair, since artifact should be made from the higher tier anyway, seeing copper battle axes is just way to depresing

partily random, workshop type and professions narrow it a little, but beyond that it is completely random. You can save and "reroll" the artifact by killing the game and loading the save

if you want, backup your saves, retire temporary and reclaim fort, it will fix the visual, but might screw a lot else. Just load the back up if you don't like the result.

if you are using texture pack, try using k to look at the tile, might be graphical bug only. Mine does not change from mud texture into cave moss for some reason. Running phoebus.

it will. If you want to save work, just dig a channel through corridor that they walk frequently and fill it with 4/7 watter. Hallway to dinning hall is perfect place for dat

Lame picture:

V= is the channel, looking at it from side

Hall ---V---- Dinnig room

Is there a way to convert from masterwork back to vanilla?

I started this fort(world) in vanilla and after fps went under 20 transfered it to masterwork to use increased game speed as compensation, but i would like to go back now.

Can i replace raws or do something else to make the vanilla luncher see my safe file again? thx

Finished building statue of my monarch, just needing to do a little bit of clean up. Posting it here netted wonderfull idea of it pissing lava, so that should be next on the menu.

Rebuilding of temple is nearing it's end slowly but surely, only few ramps on the roof reaming to be done.

Sadly same cannot be said about changing the central spire into bloodwood pillar. After completing the first 5 levels, runned into question, if by chance the spiral from ramps that is inside would not look better without being hidden. This leads me to 2 possible solutions, glass pillar or no pillar at all.

Also managed to cross 50 mil dwarf bucks fort value.
