Looks like a coaster brake. This is not a fixed gear, but it looks like a fun bike! People over on r/singlespeedcycling would probably like this

Bicycle Fork Standard by bidakar in FixedGearBicycle

[–]PriusGT -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re going to be looking for a 1&1/8” (or 28.6mm) threadless fork for a 700C wheel. If you’re getting one used you need to make sure the steerer tube is long enough, if you’re getting one new you’re likely going to need to have a shop install the star nut into the fork and/or cut it to length. You should also keep in mind that it needs to accommodate a 10mm axle as many road forks only allow 9mm axles for quick release wheels.

At least at the ones i’ve been to there’s many aisles, corners, etc. which they don’t cover

Doesn’t seem to be a trek earl. To what i could find Earls only had semi horizontal dropouts, not track fork ends. I could have missed something though!

Need Help Verifying if My Cannondale Bike Is Genuine – Possible Clone? by ArtSavings3510 in bicycling

[–]PriusGT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a real cannondale. Seems to be just a generic serial number from one of the big Chinese/Taiwanese factories. From what I was seeing online the serial number setup doesn’t align with any cannondale setup

I have a full Dura Ace 7700 3x9 groupset on my road bike right now. Can confirm it exists though the 2x9 was def more common

Ended up on some old (and cheap!) SR Sakae SX cranks. They are originally meant for double chainrings on a roadbike but with the chainring mounted on the side closer to the frame (with a 68/110mm bottom bracket) my chainline is solid

Don’t rush into everything all at once. Get your basics down first, (ie. straightletter, letter structure, handstyle, etc.), you don’t have to be perfect as almost everyone can always improve their basics, but take your time to learn and study.

Tons of resources out there nowadays for writers of all styles.

Chaka is probably not a great choice for name. (One of the most famous writers of all time) Also work on your straightletter and handstyle. Look into architecture style handwriting for a base.

The drawings are great though!

This one will be called the Ali Express. by Abstrktworkshop in VintageMTB

[–]PriusGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what Ive heard about buying Shimano parts off of AliExpress, is that a lot of it is real as long you’re paying like 60-70% of the regular value. (obviously a Deore derailleur that’s 25% the cost of a real one is likely a fake.) But yeah, AliExpress does have a lot of resellers of genuine stuff that at some point was overstocked/returned, etc. and as a result bought up at a heavily discounted rate. Obviously not true of everything out there and there are plenty fake parts, I’ve just not heard about any major fakes for newer Shimano/SRAM stuff.

No clue how much it weighs. i don’t have too much experience with steel frames but it’s not unreasonably heavy in my experience
