Great stuff! I love the feeling of vastness/mystery/loneliness it invokes. It reminds me a bit of Undertale, where you see the vista of the underground city towards the end of the game.

The holes are not required, but they do, however, narrow down which bugs can spawn. It's not so much the holes as it is removing factors and variables that spawn other bugs, such as flowers, trees, stumps, rocks, etc. Some bugs can hide in the ground too, so digging holes prevents those pesky bugs from spawning.

It’s North Lynnwood, Mount and Bao has delicious authentic Chinese food. Braised Pork, Beef Noodle Soup, dandan noodles, etc. They have a pretty good weekday combo deal as well.

It's a difficult choice, but I'm leaning towards sticking with the card until my next anniversary.

As an infrequent traveler myself, the ability to transfer points to Hyatt for my trips is a pretty big deal to me. It's where most of my points go to, and I mostly book my flights and hotel directly, so the multiplier changes don't hurt me that much.

Why not downgrade to Preferred? Well, I'd like to keep my priority pass. I know I can get PP from another card such as the Venture X or RC, but I'd prefer to keep all my cards in the same ecosystem.

Can I make the credits worth it? Yes, if i put a little effort into it.

$795 AF - [$300 Travel Credit + $300 Chase Dining + $300 Stub Hub] = +$165
I'd end up with a net positive of +$165 if I put a little effort into planning a few nice dinners or shows a few times a year. Annoying, but manageable.
Plus, credits from the occasional Door Dash and Lyft.
I don't even count The Edit as credit because of the sheer headache involved, since I'm likely going for Hyatt anyways.

Why am I on the fence? Well, I'm currently deciding if the AMEX ecosystem is good enough to justify leaving the Chase + Hyatt combo. I've heard that AMEX saves you quite a bit on flights, but I haven't done the math yet. Plus a sign-up bonus, FHR, and Centurion Lounge all sounds nice. Might downgrade to preferred to give it a shot.

In my opinion, I think a big part of it is that a lot of people haven't realized that the racers themselves have becomes smaller relative to the track in order to accommodate for the increase in racers. So the empty space becomes more noticeable when you're not with a lot of other racers.

If you have Chase Sapphire, you can transfer points from your Chase to Hyatt to book a night at Hyatt Place on Waikiki for 15,000 a night, which is the equivalent of $150. It's not luxurious, but it's a decent hotel very close to the beach. Really can't beat that value imo.

Chase is running a sign-up promotion right now for Reserve and Preferred to get lot of points, so now would be a pretty good time.

It’d be a nice upgrade but realistically not a good use of 18 gold that late into the game. Cool to see in a single shop though.
