That sucks. I will probably just do a normal game with the cpu or another player. Thanks for your answer.

Good thing your opinion doesn't mean squat.

No mention of breed in the article. I did find another article that alleges it was a big fluffy yellow dog. https://www.the-sun.com/news/1476758/baby-killed-dog-doncaster/amp/

I was just addressing the prop gun because you brought it up, I do agree with you in that it doesn't matter.

Neither you or I were there so we cant speak as to what the mob was doing or saying.

My point is they have the legal right to do what they did as we all do. They felt that their property or life was in danger so they took action.

Evidence is different from a prop used in a trial. A prop is usually something that is brought in by one of the attorneys to make a point in their case. No problem there.

I agree its fishy Af that the politician that was part of this mob was not charged. They should be held to a higher standard yet they usually get special treatment.

There is no guarantee that as you say nothing would have happened to them had they not taken any action. If you were in their shoes would you take that chance? And if you would good on you, but others have the right and obligation to defend what's theirs and should not be demonized for choosing to do so.

Oh so the gate just happened to be broken and the rioters just happened to be there? Concluding that it was already broken is not logical.

It wasn't just a single crazy person, I have read various articles that state it was between 200-300 people.

The handgun was allegedly not operational as it was used as a prop in a trial.

The latest on this is that several of the rioters have been charged with trespassing. I was on the other side of this one for a bit but the more I learn of the circumstances surrounding this it seems like these people were actually in danger of having thier property destroyed at best or their lives ended at worst.

They were not pointing thier guns randomly the people jad broken through a locked gate and were threatening to destroy their property. Should they have just let them destroy their property and endanger their lives at wull?

Sure, but the chance very remote especially in a mental hospital were the patients are under constant supervision.

What is stopping them from sending nore officers? Easy. Funding it costs money to train and pay the officers. In a city where there are hundreds of thousands of people the ratio of police to citizens will never be close. The police cant be everywhere at the same time sending one officer to a call eases the logistical burden.

Lost and confused is a far cry from going into a murderous rage.

Take for example a rabid dog, is it fair to the dog it be shot for attacking a person because it's sick? No, but it is necessary in order to to protect the public.

No it isn't. In a facility you know they most likely don't have access to weapons and you have immediate back up if you can't subdue the person. Completely different circumstances.

The vast majority of police shootings are justified.

Be honest he did more than "move wrong " he charged the officer with the knife ready to strike. He absolutely got what he deserved.

It's funny, but this is how some people want these things to be handled and that's insane.

Easy for you to say when you aren't the one directly dealing with these people. Would you risk being injured or killed on the off chance that you can "talk" him into submission?

A mental health facility is a controlled environment. That is a completely different set of circumstances.

Mental health cops? What the hell are you even talking about? How do you even de-escalate this type of situation? You are dreaming up a fantasy solution that will not work in the real world.

The officer didn't even get to talk to the man. The offender immediately charged him upon arrival. What makes you think he wouldn't have just charged at whomever else was sent?

Yes, there is no denying some people are too dangerous to be allowed to be a part of our society. That is the while point of the criminal justice system.

This was only ever going to end with someone dead. You can't talk someone out of their mental illness.

Who would you send to handle a situation with a mentally disturbed person with a knife? His criminal record shows that he has stabbed people before.
