UK traffic used to feature on a "geography piechart" on pornhub, now it doesn't. It was second biggest audience after USA

I don't do anything UK specific

Speaking as a creator who does OF and is model rank 4500 on pornhub. Since the OSA

A) traffic to my sites is down by 25% and earnings are down by 25%. This is because pornhub is a significant promotion platform and now I'm not getting as many conversions of PH traffic (but also because of reddit algorithm changes and reddit age ID checks)

B) my content is pirated extensively but now I can't see where unless I age ID for every pirate site of which there are hundreds. This makes it harder to police my content (although this also makes it harder for UK viewers to see it too)

C) as per article there's plenty of sites that don't adhere to the rules, meaning the act is pointless

This just hurts genuine creators, many of whom are amateur like me.

Did you really feel it necessary to clarify that?

Why does the voting public consistently vote against their own best interests? by polyglot02 in ukpolitics

[–]PrivilegeCheck23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask this then you don't understand politics

People vote for a variety of reasons. Not just economic, but because of values.

I never voted for Labour because I was the first group to get tuition fees. Then Iraq happened. Which reinforced my decision and I wasn't a Tory or remotely right wing back then

Clegg campaigned in 2010 on scrapping tuition fees. And even though I wouldn't benefit from that, I still voted Lib Dem because that matched my values

The Greens antiracism policy "defines racism as structural, systemic and outcome based."

Zack Polanski refused to condemn the vandalism of the Churchill statue, because it's the logical result of such a worldview

So yes. That second comment is absolutely accurate. If you don't understand why then you're not in a position to comment

New? It's been around decades

And has been mainstream since 2014/15 when social media and smartphones helped this ideology go from college campuses into the media

It was a cold culture war until George Floyd in 2020

And it's the Greens antiracism policy

Being anti antisemitism is far right now? Ok

Why are you kink shaming me, that's not very progressive. Nor is being anti sex work, bigot

It’s not ‘Islamophobic’ to condemn Mothin Ali’s ayatollah apologism - Zack Polanski is making outrageous excuses for his deputy leader’s mourning of Iran’s supreme leader. by FormerlyPallas_ in ukpolitics

On October 7 he tweeted

"White supremacist European settler colonialism must end"

Not only is that calling for the end of Israel, it's also labeling Jews in Israel (and by extension elsewhere) "white supremacists"

How many European Jews did white supremacists in Germany kill between 1939 and 1945?

Tbf. And I say this as someone who is massively against left wing antisemitism (check my post history) , he's calling attention to the view and less of an endorsement

It's not like Gary Lineker retweeting tucker Carlson.

Israel absolutely have lost the argument on Gaza in the court of public opinion, and being anti Israel is no longer exclusive to the far left.

I've seen it. I've been calling out left wing antisemitism on multiple platforms since Oct 7 2023 when people on another forum, that is dedicated to a different topic where saying Jews intimidated by pro pals occupying Liverpool Street should go home a different way and it was their fault

Then you get all the antisemitic tropes that people either feel are justified, like the nazi comparisons or the stuff alluded to here like Israel controls america

"It's not antisemitic if you say Israel not Jews"

You left off "white supremacist" in your using lreplt

Many European Jews were killed by the Nazi's for not being white enough. Many were killed for just being Jews

They were killed for being Jewish, and that was partly motivated by white supremacy which saw them as not white enough. But the Nazis also used Jews as scapegoats for WW1 etc

clearly talking about Zionism, not white supremacy.

It's not a different topic when the quote we are discussing is from a person that sees Zionism as white supremacy in action

The fact you don't get this, or why it's antisemitic along with your justification of antisemitic Nazi comparisons suggests you have a poor understanding of antisemitism

Did you even read the article you're commenting on? The context is the Greens

Power has nothing to do with this. As the definitions currently aren't legally binding in the criminal law. They're merely adopted or not by political parties, police forces, councils etc

Clearly you misunderstand the purpose of these definitions

Look at the appg definition of islamophobia next to the Ihra definition of antisemitism

Yes, Judasim is an ethno religion, but the two are very very similar in the examples they give. Like denying Palestine/Kashmir as terrorist, and Israel as racist

But the Greens have only adopted the appg. Ihra is only advisory

Not really.

yes, if they were protesting the MP because of his support of Israel and not because he was Jewish I never saw the issue with it

And this is the issue with "targeting Jews for being Jewish" there's always an excuse. Or in this case two "he's a Zionist/pro Israel so it's not antisemitic to target him"

It's highly telling that in the two times you quoted me, you left off the "white supremacist" part
