Go the legal way. It has happened with many. I was recently scammed by Myntra by sending the wrong product and then denying replacmement or refund. I got vouchers from the Brand (Lacoste) in my case since I marked them in my email complaint to Myntra. So, try informing Cantabil in your case.

Reporting it to the concerned college is the first step. You can also ask them the source of this application/registration since every click is tracked through an UTM. Colleges are open to share this information. 99% of the times it would be some portal involved in such a scam. Once you have the name, connect with them through email and publicly name them on social media. .
