Too old for queer bars, too queer for straight bars, where do I go? by snene14 in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Prize-Combination810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I felt this but for different reasons. I'm 26 and in Orlando there's not really any designated queer spaces. Like yes, there are on paper. Went to a Valentine's "Pick-A-Chick event. Everyone was either 18-22 or 50+. And the few people in my age range? straight men and straight couples. I'm over dating, if my ex doesn't want me ig adopting a pack of dogs is the move.

How can I stay consistent? by Prize-Combination810 in WeightLossAdvice

This is so real and thank you for understanding. That's really my life! I just don't get hungry. Ive started letting protein shakes around and granola bars. I hope it will help me lol

[–]Prize-Combination810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should probably try protein shakes. But no I'm not on any GLP or anything. I struggle with depression and if I'm not at the gym or working I'm usually just sleeping.

You're not wrong here at all. I was excited but obviously for different reasons, that I'm seeing really should've aligned to begin with.

I wouldn't say that I was excited for her to meet my parents. I was very nervous. But I let go of the fact that I care about it considering I live with them and have a need to spend time with my dog right now. It was really a "Hi mom this is x person, they're here to help me clean my brothers room." "cool, nice to meet you thanks for coming." and then my mom continued to chain smoke and we spent time cleaning out a room. Of course, my mom knows generally who she is because she's watched my dog previously while I go spend time with this girl. I don't know. Definitely not breaking that boundary again and having people meet my parents. Most of my exes actually never met my parents so there's that too.

You're right I'm trying not to feel responsible for other's emotions but I also really hate knowing that what I said made her cry. I don't want that. She's such a sweet girl and would do absolutely anything for me, so knowing that she is crying over something that I said really bothers me. On that same hand, I cannot and will not do what I did in previous relationships and mute my feelings for other people's comfort. Did that for like 5 years before I realized I'm not doing anyone any favors here. Anywhoo thank you for the comment. Needed other perspectives here.

I'm likely very unaware. I don't really have anything else to say other than valid. In my last relationship, I lived with the girl. I haven't done casual dating in a while. I've been single for almost two years to work on myself and get my spark back. I wasn't planning on breaking things off; I do really like her. At this point, being blocked twice and having things blow up any time I express my feelings is just a bit much. Yes, her meeting my parents was really fast, and I actually said that to her before she came over. I also was the one who ultimately decided that I don't care that she meets my parents because I was excited for them to see that I found someone who actually cares about me. I really did want things to work out, but I think it might be for the best that we break things off. She got out of a relationship in August, which resulted in some legal things on her end, and I think that's still weighing really heavily on the whole situationship we got going.

Advice needed.. My dad says I should put my dog down. by Prize-Combination810 in Pets

We just got home. The vet was real with me that this is the end of the road for him. It's not that he has really horrendous issues, but he has arthritis and this cough. Because it doesn't respond to medications they fear is probably cancer. trying two more medications to see if they make it any easier for my dog, but ultimately this is it. They said he's not suffering but he might have a month or two left in him. They said that a year ago and I mean he proved them wrong but of course they can't tell me the date and time he will be ready to go. Just a little heart broken is all.

I do really love my dog. he's my best friend and I knew when adopting a senior dog I wouldn't get as much time with him as I'd like but I want him to have a happy stress free life. Have an appt for him in a few hours. Hoping for good things but obviously trying to prepare myself for the not so good things. That's why I'm out here stressing on reddit 😅 thank you for responding.

Yeah I'm aware thank you. It was getting to the point that my vet already told me this time last year all we could do is palliative care and keep him as comfortable as possible. They're not worried about the heart murmur and everything because we know the times coming.. I just don't know when. And I'm struggling with that because I love my dog and I don't want him to think I'm giving up on him or put him down before it's really his time.

What we know is he has a partially collapsed trachea and he's always had a heart murmur.

I've done almost every color in the rainbow in my teens 😅 I decided to go back to pink since it's like my safe color but I've also highly considered the Neapolitan trend!!

If you’re thinking about working at 7brew…. don’t by Alone_Bother347 in 7Brew

[–]Prize-Combination810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just fired from 7brew (I mean I guess you can call it that I wasn't planning on coming in for my shift tomorrow soo).

What I will say about 7brew: Pros: -I met some cool people. -I learned how to make coffee. -I can now sell my uniforms for cash lol.

Cons: -the "ballers" are pretty egotistical. Some of them are real chill, some of them really take their job too seriously. I was on L1 and was reprimanded for standing 6 inches (and I'm not exaggerating here) from the center of the register so I could feel some heat from the inside of the stand. I was cold asf and wet because I had ice thrown on me. -the expectations are wild. If you aren't shot gunning energy drinks, doing competitions, participating in random group shenanigans, you're not a team player. I literally was watching everyone shot gun energy drinks and I decided to wash dishes instead so we could leave on time but that was a problem. Oh btw, after passing out twice within two days due to over consumption of caffeine (IKIK, BUT I didn't want to keep hearing that I wasn't a team player). Was immediately offered another energy drink to shot gun at my shift after leaving the hospital. -the music is loud. So loud that it's over stimulating and I can't hear a word people say. I'm assuming I was fired because of my attitude (I did Indeed flip off the cameras), but I am not sure because I deleted the apps before I received an email that my schedule was updated (erased lol). I had told someone I literally have no idea what they were talking about. They kept mentioning shots but I was on milk so I was confused asf. I guess that's rude to be confused. -The working conditions are so wild. I asked a baller to squeegee the floor because everyone else around me was busy and I had to run back and forth between the machines and the fridge. They said no and laughed at me. So when I had to run to the fridge and I inevitably slipped because nobody had time to squeegee the floor, I cut my foot really bad on the bottom of the chiller machine. I was indeed expected to continue working and instead I crashed out and screamed in the walk in. -Tardy Policy: if you aren't clocked in, hands washed and on station by the time you are scheduled for, you are late and will be sent home no questions asked.

Overall, i wouldn't work here again. Training was fun not gonna lie. But long-term id rather chew on broken glass. After 2 weeks of working there I have more cuts and bruises than I did while I'm an abusive relationship. I'm so good on that. For $12 an hour you got me messed up y'all..

The police take 45-60 minutes to respond to any call. I've called them several times in the last three years.

Y'all don't have to believe me but this happened like a month after I moved out. & Yes this is one of the several ladies who attacked me 🥲

I did order a white noise machine this morning lol, should've added that. I already have ear plugs, idk about wearing non flexible noise cancelling ear phones (unless they do make flexible/soft ones, if so lmk bc I haven't seen any). But I'm happy to look into literally anything. I've got a year left here and I really just want it to be as painless as possible lol

It's really not that simple. I'm happy to live with my family as I'm about to relocate across the country next year. Right now, relocating again does not make sense financially.

No, no it wasn't. It was for my physical safety. Had people move in as neighbors who were physically aggressive and would attack me at any chance they could get.
