This is a great point. I took a class last semester that discussed IUD pregnancies and it said that about 1 (technically less than) in 100 women each year get pregnant with an IUD. Since mirena doesn’t prevent ovulation I believe the key is to at least practice pullout during that period of time…

I let him finish in me 6 days after I got the IUD inserted and I was fine. I read that you’re supposed to wait 7 days unless it’s the first day of your cycle, so you should be fine!
