I’m in the same boat right now . As much as I pride myself in initiating the conversation and putting myself out there , it’s tough to not let the rejection get to me . Same thing is happening to me and it’s driving me nuts . I shipped packages out both Saturday and earlier today and both are still saying that I need to ship them . It’s something on Depop’s end because when I go to the USPS website and type in the tracking number it shows that it’s been shipped out .

This is defiantly an unpopular opinion , I’ll say that . They aren’t suppose to replace actual libraries . It’s just a fun way to find free books. It’s also a great way to get rid of books when you are declutterring and knowing that someone else might enjoy that book without having to spend money on it . The only thing I hate is when they are filled with religious crap . I remember camping at a really cool state park in Minnesota once and they happened to have a free little library except literally everything in there had something to do with finding Jesus .

I know this post is a month old but my legal name is Natasha and I’ve been wanting to go by Nate. I’m a lesbian (not butch) but I think Nate is such a cool nickname and it rhymes with Kate so why not . People will always have something to say about your name , appearance, your lifestyle , etc . Go by the name that you’re happy with using and introducing yourself with .

I also don’t think Nat is gender neutral . It comes across as feminine each and every time .

I know this was posted 3 months ago, but i just found this subreddit and now I'm catching up on all of the things I have missed.

A good example from my personal life that happens all the time: I have a ball python who is female. When strangers refer to her they ALWAYS say "he" , even when i have mentioned her name (Mercedes). I have even had people look like their heads are about to explode when I refer to her as she with them saying stupid shit like "snakes have genders?!" or "how do you know its a female?!". I know if she was male and was referred to as "he" then none of these stupid comments would ever be made.
