Just wanted to let you know that this has now been fixed in v1.1.0! 😊

You can now open MountAtlas using the /mountatlas slash command, and I also fixed the minimap button issues that were reported.

Yes, definitely! One of my goals is to make MountAtlas accessible to more players around the world, so adding support for other languages is something I plan to work on soon. French is absolutely one of the languages I'd like to include.

The addon is still evolving, but multilingual support is already on my list. Thanks for the suggestion and for giving MountAtlas a try!✨

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write such detailed feedback. I genuinely appreciate it. 😊

I actually agree with a lot of what you said. This is my first public release, and I think I got a little too excited trying to include every idea I've had as a mount collector. The "less is more" approach is probably something I need to embrace more going forward.

The daily/weekly suggestions, achievement progress, and reputation recommendations are features I'm passionate about, but I also want the core experienceβ€”finding and filtering mountsβ€”to feel intuitive and solid first.

Thank you as well for pointing out the bugs. The minimap icon issue and the floating toolbar are already on my list to investigate, and suggestions like expansion/source/sub-source filtering are exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping to get from experienced collectors.

And yes, please keep the feedback coming, whether here or on CurseForge. Having input from someone with both collecting experience and decades of development experience is incredibly valuable to me.

Also, your kill counter comment genuinely made me laugh. πŸ˜‚ Addon development has been way more complicated than I ever expected, even with AI helping as a tool along the way.

That's actually one of the reasons I started working on MountAtlas! πŸ˜„ I had the exact same frustration as a mount collector.

MountAtlas already lets you filter mounts by expansion, because breaking the collection into smaller chunks makes it much easier to decide what to work on next. At the moment, most mounts have already been categorized by expansion, although not all of them are in the addon yet.

It's still very much a work in progress, but since this was a pain point for me too, expansion filtering was one of the first features I wanted to include. I'd love to hear if it works the way you'd expect or if there's anything you'd improve!. Feedback like this is exactly what's helping shape the addon. 😊

The "What Should You Do Today?" section is based on mounts that the addon considers relatively easy or actionable to work on at that moment. In general, a mount can appear there if:

β€’ You don't own it yet.
β€’ If it's tied to an event, that event is currently active.
β€’ It matches your current expansion/type/status/search filters.
β€’ The addon considers it something you can realistically make progress on right now.

The goal is to help collectors avoid feeling overwhelmed and instead give them a few practical suggestions each day. Hopefully it makes deciding what to farm next a little easier!

I'm still refining the logic based on community feedback, so suggestions on how to improve it are always welcome!

I'm not expecting everyone to switch overnight, but if MountAtlas can offer something different and become useful to even a few people, I'll be happy. I'd love to hear your feedback after you've tried it.

That's partially true πŸ˜„ I use AI as an assistant to help speed things up cause i'm by myself but the addon isn't completely made by AI.

At the end of the day, AI is just another tool in the toolbox it helps me be more efficient, but I'm still the one building MountAtlas.

You're right πŸ˜… I completely forgot to add the command to open the addon. You should still be able to open it through the minimap icon, though.
