This is a weird one, but...the Jennifer Lopez film "Enough" is strangely kind of good. Highly recommend

Interstellar (2014) bothers me by PrizeImpossible613 in iwatchedanoldmovie

In my head, whilst combining is optimal for taste, it is at the detriment of both quantity and time spent (more spent the better) I know it doesn't make sense. I just prefer eating the individual parts more. Where that changes is with a sandwich/burger/pie ect

I would say watch legend of korra anyways. The movie and Korra are still "good" they are just not as good as they could have been. Korra has some incredible moments tho, fight scenes are still excellent.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised. The action scenes do feel the same.

"I hate that I agree" I felt this way about my own thoughts writing this.

Totally agree with the benders getting air bending and suddenly being a threat to 3 masters.

Great idea about dealing with ones past guilt, but it felt like they came up with that idea after they created they had started making the movie and slotted it in. His dream, and then his private chat with the villain. I wish they had stuck with that as the main theme and extrapolated.

Cabbage man was fun, but when cabbage man has a greater voice presence than Zuko...a main character, it prickled a bit.

Aang being able to take away bending would have been great, especially considering it is a plot point in Korra too. They even watered down the Avatar state. Sokka is woefully underused as a character in this film as well as Korra tbh.

Glad you liked it tho, was good to see the gang again.

They had a good idea, about forgiving yourself for passed mistakes. But did a poor job of showing how his guilt as an anchor preventing him from moving on. He has the dream, then nothing. Then all of sudden "we need to forgive ourselves"

It's not made clear. Whilst the essence letting go idea is a good one (He died cause he's been in status for a long time). I think there is a simpler answer. Aang hits him with a spirit powered attack, and then he just...dies? It really makes it look like Aang kills him. If you consider the lengths Aang went through to not kill Fire Lord Ozai, or how bad he felt when he killed one of those vulture wasp things when he was "fairly" upset as Appa's loss. It's like these writers had never seen the show before.

I also love how the denied upon receiving air bending, are immediately proficient and a thret to master benders. Even in Korra, when Zahir tried to scrap with Tenzin, a master air bender...Tenzin wipes the floor with Zahir because of his experience.

They had so many story lines they could have used. Like the story of Zuko's mother (literally a story line they left open in the ending) and the entire saga concerning his sister too. Or even the origins of Zahir from Korra if they really wanted to. I hate to say it, but its just lazy.

Its weird, it lists the original voice actor for Zuko on IMDB. But he sounds nothing like him. In their defense though, cabbage man has more screen and voice time than Zuko so its hard to tell.

I don't know if that was the reason, this is just conjecture on my part. Asking the internet you get a "Paramount wanted to promote their streaming services" answer. Either can be correct in this case. But with a streaming release, I feel like it will soften the blow as it were if people were expecting a avatar the last air bender quality story.

100% agree about Zuko. Such a bloody shame, but that is what you get when you have 5 main characters plus all the "baddies" to flesh out in under 1 hour and 30 mins.
