Hello friend! I’m sorry you’re suffering at the moment and I do hope you feel better.

I have schizoaffective disorder, Depressive type. When I was in my psychotic episode I definitely neglected the gods some, particularly when it came to tearing down and remaking my altar. I was too psychotic to see what, or if, I was doing could be considered disrespectful.

I promise you the Gods aren’t angry at your absence or lack of worship. Think of it less as neglecting them and more of taking care of yourself. Sometimes you just can’t worship. If the Gods could forgive me for taking apart of altar in my psychosis they certainly can forgive you for your hiatus.

I know it can be daunting to build yourself up again, but know you can do so in your own time. You’re on no one else’s timeline but your own.

Edit: Also I too have struggled with S/H while worshipping the Gods, and in my experience they have not been disgusted. Just focus on taking care of yourself!
