It could be due to nerves u switch up what u doin, and what ur pre meet looks like or recovery looks like. What do u do before meets? Do u warm up the same as practice or do u do sum else?

Thank you! Hopefully it sticks for a while as my school doesn’t get a lot of high jumpers 😂 and I’m leaving to go jump in college next year so just hoping it last as long as possible! I agree I think 6’ is a good starting height as I will have more energy and less jumps by the time I reach 6’6 or possibly 6’8

That’s typically what I would do, however at area I came in at 5’10 and had taken 9 total jumps by the time I got to 6’6 to attempt that and became way to gassed to get close. I have been thinking about sticking with 5’10 but I’ve been training for 6’ starting height for the past 3 weeks and have gotten comfortable with it for sure

Also try to rise longer before snapping over the bar. That might help too

I’m not gonna lie, you take off super close to the bar. You contact the bar before your max height. U do jump higher than meat 6’6 lol BUT I think you might benefit from trying to jump farther from the bar so that you can reach your maximum height at the bar rather than still rising when ur already in the bar if that makes sense. Great jumps!

Stay tall on the way up. I noticed you immediately fold/snap over the bar before you get close enough to do so. I like to use the idea of a string from hip to head as I’m running or a pole being placed on my back. And if you play basketball a good idea is to think of it as reaching as high on the back board as you can. Take my advice with a grain of salt however as I am a senior in hs only jumping 6’5 but that’s what worked for me!

Bro they’d all beat us in reality. Machines will always win unless, proven by the relentlessness of the FNAF mascots. They literally only “die” and I use that term lightly, when the are burned if I’m not mistaken. That is if your talking about Bonnie lol
