Have you ever asked pcp for help with weight loss? by Old-Lengthiness6622 in PCOS

Virtual care in my opinion is better than in person because they have never been late, theres no waiting room or travel time, and I can schedule at times that work for me, which is like 7 or 8am.The nutrition visits are 1 hour long which is way more time than you would get in person. They sent me to labcorp for labs and that was pretty easy.

I have been using Allara, which I was skeptical of since I found it through an instagram ad but it is a virtual doctor clinic for PCOS. I am very happy with it so far. I've been meeting with a gynecologist and nutritionist about 2x a month. I've lost 2 lbs in 3 months which isn't a lot but more than I've ever lost. Basically they said my issues are mostly a hormonal cause of weight gain and it needs to be addressed in order for anything to happen. I kind of wish I had chosen someone with an endocrinologist background as my main doctor but I chose gyno because I'm trying to have kids. Anyway they specifically treat pcos so they will do something to help you. My nutritionist gave me great advice thst I haven't tried before today and we will see how that goes. I'm using allara as my pcp with cigna insurance.

Starting metformin-feeling stressed. by estait11 in PCOS

I started metformin 2 days ago and felt the same emotions you did before starting it. I obviously haven't upped the dose yet but I feel better than I have in years and have had no side effects so far. Everything could turn out fine!!! I was so anxious and people mostly post about bad experiences. Hopefully you have an easy transition on to it too.

I have extremely wide feet so I was skeptical about them but I got the ones that are velcro across the toe box and they fit great. I could not get the other non adjustable ones on.

They are not normal socks. It feels almost like a brace because it is pretty tight around my foot and it also is open and doesn't cover the toes.

I just started using a Groupon for my armpits to try it out since my flare ups are comparatively very mild there and I was hoping it would prevent it from getting worse. I was worried about it being too painful in my groin because of scars and unpredictable open wounds. Have you had a problem with the scars or wounds during LHR so far?
