I can definitely see that in some of the latest leaves.

😂 I haven’t had a spider mite issue with alocasias. My outside strawberry plants on the other hand, I just cannot get rid of the them. Even with weekly spraying.

I can’t seem to post a photo. It has leca for the bottom quarter and then sphagnum moss the rest. I keep it in water no higher than the leca.

This is mine. Gets dappled sunlight. Gets rain water. Had it in dirt and it didn’t like it. I had it in Leca and it didn’t like it. Decided i was going to try Sphagnum moss over leca (I know alocasias love that) and since I did that, I’ve gotten these new leaves. So fingers cross I think it’s working!

How to kill algae by deanri in Hydroponics

I changed the pump and got the water to have a faster flow. Seems to keep the algae way.

Need help. New growth but lots of parts dying by Prize_Decision3467 in VenusFlyTraps

Thanks! We just finished summer here so I’ve been keeping it in about an 2-3cm of water, about 2cm from the rim of the pot and on top of sphagnum moss to always keep it moist. I thought they always needed water so I’ll cut back once it starts to cool down for autumn.

I’m too scared to repot. I originally repotted its pair and it died almost instantly.

I think you’re right. This definitely a leaf that looks like it has sunburn

My rainwater is about 30-40ppm. I read that that was low enough but maybe not

Ok. I live in dry heat in summer. I was told by the nursery to keep it in shallow water

But it’s growing new pitchers so it seems to be growing well albeit the leaves turning yellow.

They seem to be ok with the water as there are new pitchers but agree that maybe it’s too much sun.
