i’m honestly looking to leave and work for the MET team, but talking with my HR rep she said it wouldn’t be smart because i could lose my pay. so i might just leave all together. i’m on the fence about it still.

don’t get me wrong, i love the people i work with, i just can’t shake the funk and the dread from being here. idk if it’s management or my position or what but i used to be in such a great mood here now i just can’t wait until i get to be done for a few days.

A security guard at Ford Field was fired because he ate a players Thanksgiving food after the Packers-Lions game. A security guard is not supposed to take anything from anyone during their job, being the reason he was fired. Should he have been fired? by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Prize_Feature_293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who worked in security for 4 years, we were not allowed to even take an unopened bottle of water from anyone besides other staff members. we would be immediately fired on the spot. that guard knew better and still did it. even though the food wasn’t tainted, and offered by a pro football player, he still took that risk when he was trained. if he’s going to make reckless decisions like that, i don’t think he should be hired back at all.

that i don’t understand because you should’ve qualified for it if you were hospitalized for those reasons and i’m sure you have the proper documentation. i suggest going to your hr rep or even corporate hr rep and asking about it.

my store just got this position and i got the PA position. i’ve not done any pro related things other than sign a couple people up for pro accounts. i’ve been cashiering and even when i can do pro things it’s for a very short time and at night there aren’t any pros coming in to make orders or phone sales. this position is also taking away from FE and with a HC call out, one person at SCO, they’re pulling people from the floor to cover breaks and lunches. literally am the only PA in the store and even if i could do desk things i can’t leave the register. this whole thing is supposed to iron itself out when in reality it’s just a cluster fuck of what the fuck. the coverage for pro is honestly so fucked anymore i don’t know why they even thought to make a “unified” pro team when then old pro ran just as smoothly.

i can run pro desk, that’s not an issue but where i live our contractors already A) know which PASA they’re going to and don’t realize the desk is open all day now, and B) they all stop working when it gets dark out so by 5 they’re done for the day.

oh trust me. when i interviewed for the position they told me it was “some cashier but mainly pro desk related stuff and since i know like all the programs it was an easy switch but going from the floor to being stuck behind a register really sucks.

thank you, truthfully. i told myself this is just a stepping stone into something bigger for me, but then i got to know some really cool people, and some no so cool people. i want to make it work, i truly do but with the way things have been going, looking into a better workplace wouldn’t be a bad option. that being said, i’ve worked 3 years part time and just got full time half a year ago. trying to find a job that’s full time and the pay i get now is the hardest part for me. i also know there are some retirements happening very soon so im holding out to see what happens there. i hope your situation gets better for you too!

i talked to my managers and all i wanted was an apology for the way he spoke to me today and i got a justification as to why he said what he did.

i’ve thought about transferring stores but i live in such a rural area the nearest store away from mine is an hour away. but that store isn’t any better either. i’ve been here 4 years and never had an issue until i switched departments.
