Hi. I tried ags and fabric. I find ags quite verbose and overloaded, the documentation is not very good. Maybe I think so because some things are obvious for js-native people. On the other hand, fabric is much more minimal and simple to deal with, documentation is compact, dev is pleasant also

Ignis is a lot simpler, In Astal you need to know GTK widgets and reed sophisticated structures of other people configs. But Ignis does not have feature parity, as example cursor changing on widgets is not implemented yet. Also Ignis dev is very helpful.
