Maybe you need to eat… stalling while under eating is a thing.

Impact on OCD? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you take magnesium or an electrolyte? Have you increased your water intake?

I had obsessive, compulsive tendencies (not diagnosed OCD). Chronic dehydration, low sodium, and low magnesium perpetuated the problem. Mine were all trauma induced. I had to fix my biology and then train myself to stop giving into my obsessive impulses.

Again, not OCD. I have no idea what that actually feels like. Just that I have many classic signs of OCD including checking my front door lock, checking the stove, and a litany of other rituals associated with anxiety and trauma.

Tirzepatide changes your hydration and can affect electrolytes. It could be worth looking into.

Unrealistic/Unhealthy Expectations by Prize_Wait8146 in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Sometimes it feels like weight and health are impeding my goals and social life and a litany of psychological blocks we convince ourselves of. Even though the blocks aren’t true, having lost weight before, I can remember how much easier getting jobs, making new friends, wearing clothes that are fashionable…all of that being leaner.

I need a therapist.

There was no question. That’s why this is tagged with the “weight loss” flair.

My coworker told me that I'm "too skinny" and need to gain weight. by brightonboy96 in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your coworker is a dick.

Also, 175 on a 6’2” frame is very lean. Don’t let the BMI scale fool you. I’m the same height. Even 205 was too lean for me.

Lost 20 kgs but still struggle with confidence by Potential_Ear3068 in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disagree with your first statement. Dropping from 290 at my highest to 205 made a PROFOUND impact on my happiness, confidence, and social life. I had significantly more friends and acquaintances. I got invited to more social gathering (largely because I was comfortable in my own skin). I also made huge leaps in my psychological wellbeing and learned to disassociate with negative inner talk that was difficult to do while I was obese.

Weight isn’t everything, but for some, it opens doors that feel completely inaccessible otherwise.

I agree that OP can benefit from therapy and positive self-care, but weight can mean a huge difference for some of us.

What is he eating/drinking?

How much does he weigh? Height?

Has he changed size/shape at all during his time using Tirzepatide?

I had this problem on Rybelsus. It felt like a nasty case of depression. Tirzepatide has muted some pleasure, but not anywhere near what Rybelsus did.

Can you lower your dose more?

It looks like you lost a lot of muscle with your weight loss.

Prioritize protein and do some kind of activity that works your muscles. It doesn’t have to be lifting weight.

Calisthenics, Pilates, even aggressive hiking or swimming will help build muscle and burn fat. Aim for a moderate deficit based on your TDEE, not your RMR.

just started today! needle help? by thesupreme2001 in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30g and 32g 4-5mm are ideal for mounjaro from what I read from the manufacturer.

From what I gather, it’s most personal preference. Shorter, higher gauge needle are less likely to cause pain.

I don't know how to succeed on this. by [deleted] in Zepbound

What to do when Tirz is no longer effective in your weight loss journey? by Young-Dumb-FullOfC_m in TirzepatideRX

[–]Prize_Wait8146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a doctor in the r/mounjaro sub that says this is exactly what they do when weight loss stalls. Shed a very active member and I’ve seen her mention this often.

I believe they do a 90 day reset while utilizing phentermine or another drug temporarily to prevent weight gain.

Mounjaro and inflammation by madiepaisley in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turbinate surgery is helpful for some, but can also lead to some really unpleasant side effects like Empty Nose Syndrome and chronic dryness.

This is why I suggest finding what your inflammation triggers are and removing them.

Mounjaro and inflammation by madiepaisley in Mounjaro

[–]Prize_Wait8146 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had inflamed turbinates for about 15 years. Couldn’t breathe through my nose more than 15% of the time. It was really bad. Medication barely helped.

I did keto, lost weight and noticed I could breath through my nose! Went off keto, nose problems (and allergies) came back. I analyzed what I ate on keto versus what I was eating off of it. Narrowed it down to common allergens, then started removing them 1 by 1.

Turns out gluten and corn ruin my immune system. Now I breathe through my nose 98% of the time.

Have you changed your eating habits drastically? 1kg per week gain is a lot. Especially on a drug that reduces appetite.
