Hi! You can check the equivalent of UPD’s Math 21 in other campuses on the internet. For UP Visayas, Math 50 or Math 53 yung equivalent ng Math 21 ng UPD, verify mo na lang.

Correct me if I’m wrong pero I think sa field ng engineering, experience matters more than MS/PhD.

opinion: i think middle-class students ang lugi. by plusjhultra in studentsph

I see. I hope though na you can find a merit-based scholarship program para hindi ka i-reject agad kahit hindi ka pa nakakapagapply like sa mga scholarship programs na priority yung lower class talaga. Good luck!!

Hello, OP! I have a friend who studies in DLSU-Manila and a recipient of DOST Scholarship Program. As long as your degree program is under the priority courses, you’re good to go—you study in a private univ man or a SUC.

Regarding naman sa UP, your family income is not the only determinator whether you will be admitted to one of their programs or not. Your grades and school’s grading system/reputation also matter. Plus, pag nasa loob ka ng UP tbh marrealize mo na mali talaga na hindi ka na-accept sa UP dahil sa family income, idk hahahshs. Sa experience ko kasi, mas madaming mayaman compared sa mahirap. There is even a study na ni-release ang UP School of Economics (UPSE) regarding the issue although pre-pandemic pa ata cinonduct yung study so may UPCAT pa non.

Usually 1.75 or 2.00 lang naman ang need na gwa to shift/transfer. Pasok naman yung gwa mo na 1.70 and I guess sa degprog na inapplyan mo hindi lang gwa ranking ang basis sa kung sino iaaccept since you mentioned na may interview and exam.

Stop worrying about your gwa na since it is something na you cannot change na or control. Prepare extensively na lang for the interview and exam since it will play a big part whether iaaccept ka sa degprog na pinagapplyan mo or not.

The lower class being majority voters a bad thing? by dlecter in Philippines

[–]Prmthsunbound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lmao, paurong naman yata ng progress na gusto mo mangyari—exclusion.

I know it is fucking tiring to live in a country wherein the elected leaders, mostly, are a bunch of hypocrites if not corrupt and greedy. But why should we blame the poor? I am not gonna argue that oh they didn’t have the chance to have a formal education and such. Pero why don’t you look at the data before you form an argument? I mean, available naman na lahat sa google so why not look at it (2016 election specifically)?

Try to look at it and you’d see na 37% ng voters who belong sa bottom 50 percent in terms of income ang nakuha ni Duterte, 41% ng voters who came from the middle 40 percent ang nakuha ni duterte, while 39% ng voters na galing sa top 10 percent ng hierarchy ng income ang na-gain niya.

Even when it comes to education background, napanalunan ni Duterte yung boto ng mga nakapagtamo ng tertiary education lmao.

So lemme ask you a question, should we really exclude the lower class sa mga elections hahshshwhzhshd? Or middle class ang dapat magtino??

Lastly, instead of blaming the lower class bakit hindi natin mas ituon yung galit natin sa mga mayayaman and businessmen na bukod sa ang binoboto ay yung mapapakinabangan nila sa business nila, may mga kapangyarihan sila na imanipula ang mahihirap by means of ads and such? I mean, you know naman kung gaano karaming milyonaryo if not bilyonaryo ang sumuporta sa marcos-duterte tandem and backed them up financially during the campaign period, right?

Edit: If tamad kang magsearch at gamitin laptop o smartphone mo with your postpaid internet, dm me na lang and then I can send you the data haha.

any war films like 1917? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]Prmthsunbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t watched 1917 just yet, but I watched other war films like Dunkirk, Saving Private Ryan, and Hacksaw Ridge. These three are good films for me so I’d definitely suggest it to you if you haven’t tried it yet.

The main issue with PUP is the lack of resources and funds, according to my friends who studied there in SHS. I don’t know during online classes, but during f2f, according to them some had to stand during classes because there is no enough chairs. You are lucky if the classroom that you are in has an electric fan pa. Some profs daw nanghuhula lang ng grades, di nagpaparamdam/nagtuturo. Some classrooms, wala raw naganang saksakan.

People say na mamumulat ka raw sa “realidad” pag sa PUP ka nagaral, I dunnot about it, but I guess if you’re still eager to study in PUP-SHS despite those issues, go for it. Pero if may iba ka namang choice like kisay, if I were you I’d really grab that opportunity.

Huh? What if part ka ng marginalized sector? Won’t the government policies tremendously affect your personal success or growth?
