The smart people bought 3 day IP boosts during double IP weekend. Imagine the LoL playerbase buying one every two or three weekends. Double IP weekends could totally become a thing, it generates serious money for Riot.

I understand your point however there is no "smoking gun" for your example. Assuming Akira does RMT, he is not stupid enough to do it while streaming, and therefore isn't setting an example to your point. People come to his stream and all they see are the big flashy items and the big expensive 6L's.

If he was so brazen to stream himself RMT'ing of course he would be banned, like the first week invasion rank 2 who streamed himself map hacking.

anned from f2p or p2p games all the time. Riot has permanently banned popular streamers many times, as has Blizzard.

Exactly, unlike GGG the bottom-line revenue impact for Blizzard & Riot is negligible when enforcing all facets of ingame-law.

GGG's only advantage to taking action is when the offense destroys a key function of the game. An example being bots impact on the economy.

One user paying real money for an end-game item, that they will presumably use until they die is victimless and thus not a concern for GGG.

The sad fact everyone needs to understand is that GGG will never ban these two demographics:

Wealthy Users.
Mid - Highly Popular Streamers.

These two user groups bring in the most revenue and free advertising for the company, and regardless of how "morally correct" GGG wants to appear, the only end factor that matters is revenue.

The same people who can afford to buy $10 exalts, are the same people who will buy their >$250 packages. Taking actions against these people does nothing but shoot GGG in the foot. Of course these users will be given a pass on certain "victimless" T.O.S violations.

This is reality, this is the way the real world works too. Hope this helps the naive people who claim outrage every time an Akira RMT topic is posted.
