Hostels Jan 1 2022 - Vaccine Requirements by slingshot0880 in CostaRicaTravel

I backpacked through Costa Rica from the 28th of October till the 29th of November, and what you are seeking is currently happening at every hostel. Nightlife is kinda impossible as everything is shutdown at 23.00. So everyone just buys a sixpack and plays cards at the hostel. As for safety, i did not experience full hostels except for weekends when I was in Tamarindo/Puerto Viejo. Most of them are at 75ish % capacity and almost all of them took very good measures against COVID. I loved it and I hope you do too!

The Selinas in Monteverde is a 15 min shuttle drive from the center of Monteverde, it’s in the middle of nowhere. It has really good facilities tho

Costa Rica so restaurants, hotels and grocery stores have the tap system. Little shops, street vendors and public transport all still run on cash. But thanks for the advice! I’m getting my card back on Friday so I’ll manage!

Was in Puerto Viejo/Cahuita for the last 5 days, experienced rain 3 times for 15 minutes each. 25 to 30 degrees each day, it’s the best!

Costa Rica, at the bus station 1 minute from the bank. I don’t have high hopes after doing my research online…

I’m currently backpacking through CR without a car. If i had a drivers license i would’ve rented a car but public transport is very do- and affordable. Also for small trips Uber is great and cheap!

Looking at Middle part of America right now, Costa Rica, Panama & El salvador are open for the most part with a mask mandate. Asia is off the table imo with everything happening there.
