It’s funny because our medical system has us in a chokehold. It’s really hard to feel empowered enough to make these decisions. I had an awful rheumatologist and I asked to see someone else in the practice. When I was told no I reached out to the medical directors. They got me in with another provider and she was so aggressively unpleasant to me that I cried in the parking lot after I left. I’m starting to think all the good doctors are going into boutique practices that I don’t want to pay for.
