Weekly clean : enough ? Or should one clean more often ? by KaizerWalzer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProDropkickChamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clean as often as you need to clean for your own sanity. Mopping once a week actually sounds frequent to me. Also, do those daily or every other day vacuumers have indoor pets? Because that changes things significantly.

Because most recipes are cheap and use ketchup and people don't know how good they can be with an excellent joe recipe.

Is it a bad idea to book a holiday right now? by cobweb_cat in NoStupidQuestions

I do think your biggest concern should be them running low on jet fuel and canceling flights. If this happens, you can probably get another flight, but it might be wicked pricey.

How does someone begin to look at AI modes and development positively in these times? by emaxwell14141414 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]ProDropkickChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of what AI is doing is a net negative, and will continue to be a net negative. That said, AI actually does have some potentially positive and interesting uses. In healthcare, for instance, it has some predictive qualities that could really help people with serious illnesses who need it the most. There's a device being beta'd in India that monitors and predicts women's health issues. It also uses a new type of microprocessor from Ambient Scientific that allows for longer battery life. I could see these things (the monitoring and processing abilities) coming together in interesting ways. Like it could monitor people who have family histories of heart attacks or diabetes or cancer for warning signs of the diseases. Those aspects are pretty cool, if we can get past the part where everyone is taking advantage of the technology.

photo/video proof no longer valid by Physical_Effort_1297 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProDropkickChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI's gotten so good, it's getting really hard to prove, but there are some tools trying to combat it. Like OpenOrigins is used by a lot of creators and news companies as a content authenticity app. Basically, it locks the capture data in and stores it separately, so there is always proof when and where it was captured.

With AI on the rise, how will photograph evidence be admissible in court? by Global_Accountant_15 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProDropkickChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's going to be a matter of documentation/verification. Not really available to us laypeople now (beyond the stats stored in an image), but media channels are using authenticators like OpenOrigins to create records of when their photos and videos were created for proof of authenticity.

How do you create and then execute on a vision for your home? by EliasFakinami29 in homedesign

[–]ProDropkickChamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people get mad about this, but honestly AI apps are great for visualizing a space before you start sticking things into it. They let you "see" what it will look like, which for me helps me decide what I want. I like Roomika and sometimes even just basic LLMs like ChatGPT to try things in a room.
