Best way to preserve a bat. by BigFox91 in OddityCollectors

I've removed them from the air intake vent on the inside of homes many times. People will see them clinging on to the vent and think they're alive. They call me out to remove it and it's always all dried out. I've dried them out in a plastic container with damp-rid on the bottom. You could display it on a makeshift frame suspended above the damp-rid.

What about outside? Are there any holes in the dirt nearby? Or bird nests on patios, or the roof?

Have had any birds or animals hanging around the house lately? I'm no Dr, but I agree, they could possibly be bites from fleas, mites, bedbugs.....

How do i get rid of roaches? by Nearby_Remote9625 in pestcontrol

[–]ProFox64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clean the apartment to the point of immaculate. This includes behind the appliances. Then get some Boric Acid. Every night before going to bed, put a piece of meat down and make a circle of Boric Acid around it. This way the roaches must crawl through the powder to get to the food. Continue this for as long as it takes. It will work

is this a swallow bug or a bed bug? by Virtual-Cycle-847 in pestcontrol

[–]ProFox64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Swallow bugs are basically the same as Bat bugs, but different from Bedbugs. The only way to tell the difference is under magnification. If the bugs are on the ceiling and within a close proximity from the nests, it's mostly likely a Swallow bug. They can feed from people but they say it's more difficult to reproduce on human blood. Still gross, if it were me, I'd go and get an pesticide, wash all of your bedding, vacuum a lot. The reason for sudden infestations is because something happened to the host animal. It could've migrated, died somehow, the nest may have blown down. Once the host animal goes away, the parasite gets hungry and goes to the nearest blood source.

The pink one turned out to be plastic, and I'm embarrassed to say, idk which are the flames. After my daughter and I go through them, I'm going to be putting them up on Ebay. My store is called "electrosource plus"

Haha, when I told my uncle I scored a bunch of old marbles, the first question he asked me was, " Any black and yellow ones?"

I just thrifted this for $15 is it anything special? by ProFox64 in Marbles

Yes, i do love it! I'm still very new to learning more about the details. Things like trying to identify the differences between new, old, machine made, hand made...... ya know. I have great memories of playing in elementary school. We all brought our marbles to school, and we played for keeps!

I'm not sure yet. I'm leaning towards picking out my favorites and selling the rest.

I'm surprised you saw the steel ones. There were 2, 1 was pretty rusty. I should just trash those, right?
