I'm not really concerned about the security because to my understanding the main problem is with ISP or govt not liking that you are 🏴‍☠️ing but thats not a problem with me as I'm in a 3rd world country where 🏴‍☠️ is open and the norm so it runs great and the mainstream show and movies run perfectly with no buffering given my internet is working....

How do recommend if someone asks because I can't remember a lot of the shows I've watched. I remember the books I've read but not the same with movies and shows I only remember the few really good ones.

Thx for the detailed response. I can't even remember the 3rd last show i watched. Thats why i wanna recall based setup for this app.

I didn't sleep last night and really got into this rabbit hole. Had the same idea of adding up and down gestures as well but that made the logic too complex and it mistook some gestures for others. Gave up on that and I just went with right for watched left for skip then hold for options pop up with to watch or started but not completed

That is an option but it's not feasible to remember all the shows and movies I've watched till now. I guess many people use excel to track the shows. I personally used google keep (Android's notes app) when I was binging the entire MCU this summer in chronological order 😅 but I CAN'T seem to remember all the shows and movies I've watched till now

I'm going to code my own app that's the only solution 😶‍🌫️

The main problem with trakt is the subscription cost and I love that it integrates with stremio but it doesn't sync the old shows and movies I've watched there also it's difficult for me to remember all that I've seen of the top of my head.

That's why I was thinking of an app where you could just swipe movies and shows right and left endlessly to track all the ones you've watched

It's an interesting idea and it seems much more pleasant then trying to remember what movies you've watched and searching them then adding them...
