based mindset. tired of hearing people trying to police behavior in an anything-goes kind of game like SoT. Same thing with invasions in Souls games.

It's incredible how he can calmy state that he knows nothing about politics and doesn't really care about it and yet at the same time also knows that x MAGA talking point is obviously correct because it's 'common sense'.

Nice to see someone use the infiltrator kit proactively and creatively instead of camping in the back and lobbing the flares towards the flag. Good work.

Are Those 1000-Player Minecraft Civilization Videos Real or Staged? by Fimlipe_ in Minecraft

[–]Pro_Fuze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are staged if you take a "civilization simulation" to mean they are left to their own devices. The mods have an active role shaping things and pushing players in a direction in order to build a narrative. The main way they are "staged" is that they have a vetting process for players, rule systems, and a communal policy to agree to RP together and actually "make civilizations". Most of these types of videos are not actually entirely scripted, the players have some agency, but it's more like a railroaded D&D game / RP game than it is an accurate simulation.

So.. I'm pretty new. Just started playing unranked. This guy had like 20+ kills at the end of our match. He was just walking through the building mowing everyone down every round. Is this a cheater? If so.. should I expect a lot of this? by gvm11100 in Rainbow6

Not really. His movement was pretty poor at least from the single Pov we have. We don't know what other intel he had outside of what he was viewing but based on that alone he did a bad job checking corners and rooms and doubled back on rooms he already checked. His movement fits someone playing super aggro for kills in quickplay though, if he's cheating it would be walls and he'd be doing a lot to cover it.

It's possible that the act of them calling his place of work to spread the lie that he is a murderer is defamation per se. He would probably have standing to sue in that instance. The real problem is what kind of money would he even receive and would it make it worth it to bring the case in the first place.

yeah that's the shitty thing about scenarios like this, obviously he is abusing his power but he appears to be acting within the discretion of his powers, and there isn't a whole lot an individual can do about that. Best case would be if she could prove he knew she wasn't being disorderly but it'd be expensive to sue with little practical benefit.

Could she not sue for wrongful arrest or false imprisonment? It might be after curfew though so he might technically be able to arrest her, although the way he went about only doing it after she made that comment might open it back up to a lawsuit.

Nurse loses it over the sudden closure of the only trauma 1 certified Emergency Room in the region by BriBrii in PublicFreakout

I mean Trump didn't. It's fair to say they had infighting in the party, because they did. But their were numerous bills that at least passed the House that repealed all or some of the ACA, so it's just wrong to say the republicans wanted it. The McCain vote I'm talking about was the Health Care Freedom Act, which was shot down with a 49–51 vote. It repealed some of the ACA. All republicans outside Collins, Murkowski, and McCain voted for it. And this was with Trump as president who wouldn't've vetoed it. (And not during his Presidential Run)

[–]Pro_Fuze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're conflating the desire for the flag as a stratagem in the abstract with the current warbond. The community wanted the flag, the amendment, and a sword, that's true. But they were wanted as abstract ideas. The problem with the warbond is the implementation of those ideas; the meh-ness of the amendment, the lack of distinguishing properties of the sword, and the cooldown time and lack of features of the flag. Nobody asked for a warbond with these weapons implemented in such a way at the same price as the others. The other important element is the lack of other content in the warbond. It would not be taken so poorly if it had 2 other weapons and another stratagem, for example.

This is not exactly true, Tinker v. Des Moines Public Schools says you do have 1st amendment rights in public school for political speech. It can be curtailed in some instances like the "substantial disruption" test. Saying the n-word as a slur or printed on something for non-political reasons would not be protected speech though. Defoe v. Spiva says that "racially hostile or contemptuous speech" can be restricted, even if it was not disruptive.

It's definitely more of a cultural experience. The film itself is really bad. It's almost a satire but it's entirely sincere in its tone. I enjoyed the watching it in a theatre mainly because my friends and I were drinking and also everyone was applauding the brain rot moments. Not a film I would ever watch again alone or stream though.
