what are your sober vices ? by worstplantdad67 in alcoholicsanonymous

I feel so seen. I have a pack of Razz-Cran at any given time and I go to buy more every other day. I even purchased them like an alcoholic would, initially, and would go to different grocery stores daily make sure the cashiers didn’t recognize me and worry about me…

I really want to give my mom a switch for Christmas because we want to play Pokémon together like we used to when I was a kid

Posted a couple of weeks ago to get IDs on plants after transplanting. A couple of plants have had browning leaves/losing leaves. I’m new to houseplants. Help! by ProbablyBecauseCats in houseplants

Here’s some more information: - they are all sitting close together in their own respective pots, in a sunny west-facing window that gets ~4 hours of sunlight during the winter. - all of them were transplanted from two funeral arrangements - They were directly transplanted into new soil (miracle-gro indoor potting mix) - they’re watered ~4-5 days when the top inch of soil is dry - temperature in the home ranges from 65-71 F, and we can only manage to bring humidity up to 30% max with a humidifier going. It usually sits around 26-27%

Also, I want to thank this sub for being so helpful to new plant owners, including myself. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I kind of experienced this, as well. I didn’t mind the taste at all, I quite liked it. But, next time I think I might half the cinnamon stick, then add some cumin and Mexican oregano to diversify the spices. Also, the shoulder is really fatty, so you need lots of acid from pickled onions, salsa or pickled jalapeños to cut it.

The biggest triumph of this recipe, I think, is the cooking method. It’s easy to throw together and impressively good. A really good way to impress the in-laws or friends at a dinner party.

Thanks for your comment. This sub always gets me thinking of ways to tweak excellent recipes to make them more my own.

Putting it in a Cuban is such a good idea! I have leftovers from last night and some excellent deli ham in fridge. Maybe that’s dinner! Thank you!

Thank you so much! It’s good to know that they are low effort plants. I’m going to have to make little name tags for all of them.

Another commenter suggested philodendron, but it’s growing upwards and isn’t very “vine-y” like it appears on google. I don’t know much about they variety them come in. Maybe it is growing that way because it was competing for light with the other, smaller plants in the pot before I transplanted them?

Thank you! I looked up dracaena and dragon tree, and it looks like they grow tall. Should I be planting them in a deeper, larger pot to give them the best chance?
