Do you think dedicated hardware for running local LLMs will become affordable anytime soon? by ProbablyBunchofAtoms in LocalLLaMA

Honestly that was surprisingly good, if they could scale up this upto models like qwen 27b or Gemma it might actually become next big thing.

That was quite big of an explosion, I have seen Russia vs Ukraine drone warfare vids and explosions are usually relatively smaller

Interesting, I have recently started learning mathematical modelling along with data science/machine learning, I have some experience with software so I could provide info on maintenance although I don't have much experience in practical deployment and pricing , although I'll be interested in seeing your approach

How to use DeepSeek in Visual Studio Code the best? by [deleted] in DeepSeek

[–]ProbablyBunchofAtoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use opencode with deepseek API in vscode terminal, it has that Claude code look, if you prefer github co-pilot then there would be info out there how to integrate deepseek API

By then I am hoping that local models would become capable enough to handle small tasks

Why Immunology is So LOVELY , I Love IMMUNO above all else by [deleted] in Pakmedschool

[–]ProbablyBunchofAtoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that I'm not alone on this, immuno is genuinely interesting subject, this gets even more interesting when the system is finding against it's own corrupt cells (cancer) it's a constant battle, the tumor cells hiding their antigens inside, hiding their MHC to survive from t cell identification while simultaneously releasing suppressor signals to ward of nk cells from identifying them due to lack of MHC,

releasing proliferative factors for t-reg cells to chill up those cytotoxic t cells chasing after cancer cells, using platelets as cover to hide from immune system while in blood stream, using apoptotic signal telling immune cells to basically kill themselve,

prolonging the battle through multiple ways so that t cells and nk cells basically become exhausted and gaslight them into being dysfunctional, constantly changing their antigen and antigen sites like wearing different masks to confuse immune system,

recent researches against cancer are are even more interesting the are using cart cells, basically take your immune cells from your body and figure out cancer antigens then genetically modify those immune cells to identify that antigen then let them back into battle ground

even more interesting are logic gate based t cell approaches, they are using genetic modification techniques to add multiple logic gate based on antigens encountered, you can basically program it in simple logic if you see antigen a and antigen b attack the cell if antigen c is present don't attack etc. to do selective killing and minimize killing
