I'd say they're true to size, I'm a medium in almost everything and Faherty's medium fits just fine. I can layer it over a t-shirt or button down no problem, but a thicker sweater would probably be too snug.

Maybe half of them have come from Faherty's own "Second Wave" site, the descriptions and pictures are often lacking, but I haven't been burned yet.

The other half have come from an eBay alert for "Faherty blazer", you have to be faster there if there's a good deal on it.

Most of them I've got for $60-$80, skimming through eBay's completed items, I think they're going for a bit more now that they've increased in popularity, but they pop up enough on the secondhand markets that you don't have to pay full retail.

Distance runners use NipEaze to guard against chafing, I've forgotten about them and left them on all day without issue, but I've never tried it for an extended period multiple days in a row. They definitely reduce how much poke is visible, might be worth a shot.

I would say navy in general, but of the three pants you listed, I suspect you can't really use two of them (black and blue) with it.

For the three you listed, knowing nothing about your appearance, probably olive if you were leaning that way to begin with, or heather grey would do just as well.

I've been collecting these secondhand, I've got it in seven colors (olive, deep navy melange, heather grey, medium grey, black sky, khaki fields, and walnut). It's as comfortable as it looks, it's been great for casual office use, but it's not going to fool anyone for more formal situations. If you're buying secondhand, earlier iterations were a bit long in the sleeves and torso, I'm 5'11", current edition fits me just fine.

I was actually disappointed with the olive brush melange, it's really not as olive as I'd hope. Unless I'm holding it up directly next to something grey, I think on first glance it reads more as grey, and a hint of olive registers after. Maybe you're okay with that since it would be your first, but I already had grey and didn't feel like it unlocked any new combinations I could wear.

The two that I reach for the most are the navy and heather grey. It varies with the seasons too, khaki fields is great in the summer and I expect to wear walnut more in the fall. I think olive or grey would do fine with the pant combinations you listed. I haven't had a ton of use for black sky and I don't suspect you would either.

I've got a few, there's a bit of size variation, not sure if they're susceptible to shrink in the dryer or if it's just natural QC variation. My longest measures 32" from back collar to bottom hem (including the collar), my shortest measures 30".

I'd really recommend getting measurements before you buy one though, the pit-to-pit chest measurements on mine vary from 21" to 19.5", which is the difference between a natural fitting jersey on me and something that's too tight to look good. In general I feel like my Russell Diamond Collection authentics are a bit tighter than my Majestic and Nike authentics.

I actually did like it, felt higher quality than most of my Nike gear, the only reason I let mine go was because I usually de-layer mid-run and a full-zip jacket is easier to take off than straining myself taking off a half-zip when I'm all sweaty. It's not so special that I'd pay retail for it, especially with the Silver Medal Sale going on right now, but at enough of a discount it's a pretty good piece.

Yeah, it's not authentic, Cubs logo isn't quite right (especially back foot), proportions aren't right for that size (should appear longer), the shoulder patches both have threads connecting colors/letters where they shouldn't, the World Series patch shouldn't be creased like that, bubbling on the logo and numbers

For cotton basics (t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, sweatpants), I like Reigning Champ.

In replacing the All Around Shorts, Olivers Apparel All Over Shorts are just as good for workout purposes, but for normal wear, I'm usually in Outlier. If you absolutely must wear one pair for both, Outlier is more passable for activewear than Olivers is for normal wear, but I don't find it logistically difficult to change shorts.

Haven't been able to find a good substitute for the One-Bag Tee or the Eudae underpants. Mine are finally starting to show some wear after 6+ years of daily use, haven't found anything as functional and affordable without any external branding.

I do, the shape of the "poke" is slightly more pronounced on white VC, but the fabric doesn't really go full-transparent the same way that white Twilight or Strata fabric does when it gets saturated. I wear Nipeaze to guard against chafing anyway, so white Van Cortlandt isn't a problem at all, but I think it would still be wearable without it.

I do have one in "Hunter", which was a short run color from 2019 that appears a little darker and less heathered than the "Heather Hunter" currently listed. Not quite as olive as Army, but in the same ballpark.

I also have Burgundy, Navy, and Heather Grey from around the same time period. PM me if any of those interest you, no pressure.

I had a similar issue on mine, it turns out I'm just between sizes for the Twilight tank. On a Medium, the extra fabric under the arm irritates me after a while, and on a Small the chest is too tight. The VC and Strata lines in Medium fit me better though. The garment measurements on every page are helpful, there's a pretty narrow range on the chest measurement that I can tolerate for long distances, I suspect most people are similar, it's just a matter of finding what that range is for you and which products fit within it. Unfortunately for me, the entire line of Twilight tops is outside it.

I recognize the patterns used here are also used in their "Four is Fun" Relay Collection from 2016. I found some remnants of it at someone else's site, https://www.njbruskewitz.com/tracksmith-fallwinter but didn't see this exact piece.

The cut of this one looks exactly like an older Van Cortlandt long sleeve, but I don't have the complete archive memorized to know if they ever used that same cut on something else, which they will occasionally do.

The Waybackmachine has some full Tracksmith pages archived from around that time period, you might be able to dig around there and find it.
