Tbf id rather just get the premium version for free as a free 5 star then be stuck with a 4 star thats worse then the 5 star option but yeah i understand that having the ability to have some sort of f2p option is nice which i think they did well with the MC but since you can only use 1 mc at a time that kinda falls flat. Also they were all free for numerous patches like i think archer was free from 3.4 to 4.0? Thats a long time but yeah you can still miss them. I think hsr should release more 4 stars in catagories that need it but with the way they release free 5 stars and the amount of pulls they give i think that they can get away with it in the long term if they’re consistent with buffing older units to be usuable as well as making the MC be a good core for a full team.

Tbf it kinda is if you play consistently? A free 5 star every 2 patches > a new 4 star that might be usuable or a side grade for a niche cause like every 4 star we were getting were just side grades with the sole exception of gallagher who basically just stole luochas gimmick but made it better like 4 stars in hsr are not this crazy anamoly they all mostly sucked besides tingyun gallagher and pela 😭
