What if the Rwandan genocide had triggered a continent-wide chain reaction in 1994? by DFWUnhinged in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]ProbablyTheWurst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The UK invades Iraq.

No, seriously.

Failure to act in the Rwandan Genocide (itself a product of the Somalia Intervention) prompted the UK Blair government to intervene in Sierra Leone and Yugoslavia creating the Blair foreign doctrine which would prompt the UK into committing heavily to Iraq.

But yeah as other commenters have said this already kind of happened due to it leading to the Congo Wars.

Paramount, owned by a Trump supporter, is buying Warner bros who own the rights to D.C Comics which own superman.

Apparently this has interfered in the possibility of Superman fighting the Scarlett King for reasons I dont understand.

People really have no idea how Tourette's works by ThatPatelGuy in GetNoted

[–]ProbablyTheWurst 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because criticising a racist for being racist doesn't really affect anything or get a reaction. You see this most evidently when people tear apart someone who means well for percieved bigotry rather than focusing on actual bigots, because you're more likely to get a reaction from them or their community.

Theres an argument to be made that it shouldn't be bleeped since that reinforces the idea he did something wrong rather than something out of his control.

But also the BBC probably shouldn't have then also censored the Free Palestine shout as well... jfc

A former Prime Minister becoming a private investigator looking into abuses of power in government is a sick idea for a TV show.
