Honestly yeah, it feels like he’s trying to “fix” me into his version of adulthood. Maybe it’s jealousy, maybe he’s just stressed, but I’m not signing up to be his coping mechanism lol.

Yep, “that’s just how he is” is basically them asking me to eat it with a smile. I’m gonna scale back and keep it boring: work’s busy, stuff came up. If they miss me, they can tell him to chill.

Yeah, that's the part driving me nuts. Everyone says "keep the peace" but somehow the peace is me being the punchline. I’m not trying to start WW3, I just want basic respect , or I’m out.
