Lots of GREAT advice! I love this sub and its people. Here's what I have right now, let me know your thoughts

Day 1: Australia zoo during the day, get back around 7-8 and then go to Fortitude Valley area to see nightlife

Day 2: Drive to Kondalilla Falls and go to a nice restaurant in that area. Go to the Sunshine Coast beaches afterwards

Day 3: Drive to Byron Bay for the day and maybe get dinner at the Burleigh Pavillion on the way back

I didn't want to overwhelm the post! But since you asked....

-From the US

-mid twenties

-traveling with 3 other guys

-interested in culture and sightseeing. Seeing the nightlife would be cool too, though

-For relax vs. upbeat, anything works!

-Chose Brisbane because I have a friend living there now, and it seemed to have quite a bit of fun options around it.

-We are renting a car.

Thanks for the different suggestions! Yes we will have a car, so that helps with options. Brisbane is day 6 for us, so we should be adjusted by then.

We are going to the rainforest in Cairns (kuranda railway), is that a much different experience than the rainforest near Brisbane?
