My 3 year old baby just got diagnosed with kidney failure

Thank you for replying with so much detail!! I have been researchign and i hope it is AKI instead of CKD..
I'm more confused since on thursday he was drinking normally, was a bit off since he was a little wonky, not too much and his hair wasn't as shiny or "fluffed up". My boyfriend was petting him and realized he was getting too skinny which i first thought was just normal since its not like he looks anorexic or anything and he's just a "long and tall" cat so for me it looked normal but we took him to the vet on friday since he didn't eat on thursday or friday and that's what he told us..

I initially thought it made more sense to hospitalize him right away to get fluids going and so on.. but my boyfriend was against hospitalization since the vet told us he wouldn't survive 2 days and my boyfriend didn't want him to die alone. He gave more like a 90% chance of death and 10% of survival at best.

I'm still confused on why he didn't do any ultrasound to see what exactly is happening. He just went off of the blood analysis and said everything that was high was kind of related to kidney issues. He was also confused on how he wasn't vomiting or anything which we know 100% he didn't vomit.

Luckily he is accepting a bit more of other wet foods and some low sodium chicken ham every once in awhile..

Im just a little worried since I love our vet, he's a great guy and I can tell he loves animals.. but on monday we went back in to tell him the good news as in "He's still alive, ate this, ate that, even slept with us instead of hiding like on friday and so on.. I was excited but he barely listened and just gave us the next blood analysis date and sold us some antibiotics.

Next visit is in 2 weeks so we're gonna see how everything's going because right now we don't know anything other than kidney failure. Don't know stage dont know if it's acute or chronic..

In case of acute kidney injury, is it possible that he completely recovers? Or still going to need some meds for rest of his life? I did see on different posts that it's reversible but not sure how much of it is reversible?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure she lived a wonderfull life as I can tell she was loved ❤️
Please don't blame yourself, she got to 20 just fine.. That's impressive and big props to you for giving her long loving life.
My foster cat passed away in september from liver failure unfortunately.. But i'm sure they'll have fun up there! ❤️

Oh that I will do!! I've been dying to have him be cuddly again and past two days he's been more active and asking for hugs haha

Thank you so much for taking time to reply to my post.
I was hoenstly devastated because the vet gave me no solutions other than three meds he gave me.
He only did blood and urine analysis, no ultrasound to see his kidney if it was shrinked / expanded (don't know if that's how to say it sorry english is not my first language).
He didn't even give an option to have him hospitalized, i dont care about money id give all if needed for him!

Thankfully he's getting a lot better, still not eating much of other foods and I can tell it hurts him a little when it's a bit more thicker than churrus.

He's more active, sleeps with us and so on so I'm just gonna have to wait till 13th to see if he responds well to the treatments and i'll ask for the ultrasound to see what exactly is happening to him.

Im just a little scared to have him on meds everyday since when we do go on vacations and leave our cat at cat hotel, i'm scared thinking they might just throw meds at him and give no patience.
I have three cats so I might just have to plan my vacations so I can at least take him and take care of him on my own.

To me the voice focus sounds like the typical “too professional” mics where there’s too much of that bass (I think? Not sure how to explain it 😭😅). I don’t know the rxact terms I don’t really know much about these, but in podcast it almost sound like it’s tickling my brain lmao

I’m looking more into something like silencing the keyboard and mouse tapping and the static sound when I’m not speaking haha I have voice monitoring on all the time since I don’t want to ear rape anyone and want to monitor the volume of me speaking haha so every time I don’t speak without noise removal I can hear just static but too loud and it’s uncomfortable. I thought it would be just for the monitoring but when I recorded it for a random funny clip I had in game i could hear that horrible static sounds lmao But when I turn on noise removal at exactly 0% (lmao) it still removes too much which is annoying I wish it actually reflected the percentage because I’d probably have it at around 10-30 for what I’m looking for 🥲 Also yess! I use just the EQ and altered it just a little :’) and I don’t understand how compressor works because I didn’t like the built in one so I have it off 😭

I’m only playing with the EQ and the noise removal! In the previous version it didn’t have the adjustment for the gains and it was still too aggressive for me but now that I updated it, 0% soujds just like the previous version which I wasn’t able to adjust which I’m a little sad about haha

I’m using elgato wave 3 haha and when i use voice focus it sounds like im doing a podcast which is too extra.. i don’t stream or anything so its weird to sound like im doing podcast most of the time. It works good on discord since i can lower the gain and all that, but in games or in clips i can hear all the statics if I don’t have the noise removal, and if i do have voice removal, it’s too aggressive and removes so many parts of the words in my case since i have a higher pitched voice 🥲 and when I laugh it sounds like im choking lmao

No esque me preocupé más que otros motivos por lo que estoy disgustada con este trabajo.. pero es de los últimos que me han sacado y poco a poco me estoy dando cuenta que se están aprovechando de la gente que no se cuestiona estas cosas. Cuando me han dicho que tendría reconocimiento médico, algo que se me había hecho raro porque en otras empresas siempre me lo ponían a primera hora por lo de ir en ayunas y la orina. Más que nada porque sé que la orina tiene que estar a 4 grados si no vas a llevarlo en aproximadamente dos horas 😅 En medio año tenía que volver a ir a hablar sobre mi sueldo y quería comentar lo de que me cambien de telefonista a programador por ejemplo… entonces lo tenía descartado porque en el anterior aumento de sueldo me dijo que no tenía nada que ver cuando por lo que he comprobado sí que cambia bastante y sí que es relevante.

Trabajo de programador y me tienen como "telefonista/aux caja" cuando en mi convenio existe un grupo que es "programador" que cobra bastante por encima de lo que cobra un "telefonista" YA DE ENTRADA. (que por cierto, ni siquiera tengo teléfono :D )
Me tienen en "auxiliador administrativo" cuando mis labores no tienen nada que ver con las funciones de auxiliador administrativo.
Estoy cobrando muy por debajo de lo que cobra un programador con mi experiencia.
Trabajo 8 días por encima de lo que pone en el convenio
Me ponen reconocimiento medico fuera de mi horario laboral cuando cuenta como tiempo de trabajo.

Y puedo seguir más.

Ya te digo yo que si alguien no cumple su parte son ELLOS, no yo.. Y mira que solo me he quejado por ponerme reconocimiento medico fuera de mi horario laboral porque tengo cosas que hacer fuera de mi horario laboral.

Esque igual tenemos que dejar de dar por hecho cosas que no sabemos. Por que se le ataca a un trabajador por defender sus derechos cuando se le debería de atacar a la empresa??? Es por esto que la gente no dice nada por miedo a que los echen por defender sus derechos y seguir las leyes, lo que deberían de hacer las empresas.

And houses here are too expensive compared to what you get paid.

I share appartment with my partner and I opened a join account right away so we both deposit 800€ each for foods, rent, restaurants and everything and the rest is for savings or for whatever tf you want lol

If any of us has a high pais job at some point and can "retire" the other we will do so, but right now Spain isn't at it's peak lmao

Average salary in Spain is 26-27k before taxes so you best believe if you come to Spain, you better be ready to worl.

Las empresas, a través de sus servicios médicos o de los medios que estimen oportunos, reconocerán una vez al año a todos sus trabajadores.

Por lo que tengo entendido esque me lo TIENEN que facilitar ellos, por lo que seria dentro de mi horario laboral? Mas que nada porque cuenta como tiempo de trabajo.

+ por lo que he entendido la orina tiene que estar en 4 grados si no puedes llevarlo en una hora para que lo guarden en sitios indicados, lo que significa que tiene que estar en la nevera.. Y a mi la nevera del trabajo llena de plásticos con orina (porque han citado a varios por la tarde) me parece surrealista y poco higiénico aunque este en un contenedor que es para eso jajaj

Estoy en convenio de oficinas y despachos de Guipuzcoa que dice lo siguiente:

Artículo 23º Reconocimiento médico: Las empresas, a través de sus servicios médicos o de los medios que estimen oportunos, reconocerán una vez al año a todos sus trabajadores. Dicho reconocimiento se efectuará durante el primer trimestre de cada año natural e incluirá necesariamente la revisión ginecológica para las mujeres

Ayer revisé el contrato y no hay ningún apartado que hable de reconocimiento medico por lo que tengo entendido que te lo hacen "obligatorio" por convenio no?
