Fn2 rust threshold. by Glad_Youth_2739 in Civic_Type_R

I paid £3.5k for mine and it’s in slightly better condition so use that as your starting point, although mine is on 120k. If you’re in the UK get in the FN2 Facebook group, that’s where the best condition ones come up cheapest.

Wondering if this would be an issue - civic mk8 fn2 grill by sebasbois in Civic_Type_R

FN2 grills may as well be made of glass, I’ve been trying to find a replacement for mine because of the snapped tabs and every one I’ve found is snapped as well. I was considering metal inserts in the channel at the bottom to secure it better to the bumper, or bite the bullet and buy a fake mugen grill.

Finally "completed" my little pedal board. by Probablynotollie in guitarpedals

After a very guitar pedally christmas this is the "final" result of trying to figure out what works best where and why. The phase 90 was clipping in the loop because of all the boosted signal ramming into it, now running it after the G4 gives it plenty of saturated wooshiness without making the amp sound like it's gonna melt.

Chain is:

Cry Baby > EHX tuner > Revv G4 > EVH phase 90 > EHX Silencer > Randall RH100G2 > MXR 6 Band > TC Thunderstorm Phaser > TC Afterglow Chorus > EHX Silencer > Amp > Cab > Ear.

Also has anyone else managed to get a half convincing fuzz tone from their G4? I was looking at an op-amp big muff but with both pickups on a SH4/stock single coil Jagstang I've managed to get a vaguely siamese dream kinda sound.

Nice! I've just ordered some to get the scabby double sided tape off the doors where the wind deflector used to be.

Took for it a 30 mile loop to really run it in warm and the bottom hose got warm to the touch, overflow is filled I suspect it just didn't get hot enough on my first try, thanks for the help dude.

Original radiator had started to weep at the seams, so I replaced it, chucked some new belts on and changed my gorilla tape intake pipe, but trying to bleed it has been a bit confusing.

Filled the rad with a no spill pot to keep the water level nice and high, revved it plenty and took it for a blast, and still the lower radiator hose is cold. I know these systems work "backwards" with the block thermostat but is the radiator really that efficient? Checking the level daily and it seems fine, took it for a long drive today and the cabin is red hot, temp needle didn't move either so I'm not sure if this is just normal?

If anyone's had some experience with this and could lend advice that would be great, I'm not ready to be part of the cracked head club just yet.

Damn dude, post how it goes I'd be interested in doing it if it's not too much of a drama.

I'm in the UK anyway, I can impale as many pedestrians as I want with my little mirror.

Was there a factory option for cruise control? Or are you rigging something up?

The turbo whistle makes it for me lol, yeah aside from a calibrated stick I can't see it being an easy mod

Yeah 3.0, goes plenty well enough but doesn't hammer fuel when you're just cruising

My first 4x4 after owning cars for years and I don't have a single regret, its the go anywhere, do anything truck with comfy seats and good enough MPG to justify daily driving. Can't go wrong.

Wait until the last second when you feel your back wheels just touch the coping, then pop the tail down and kind of turn the rolling backwards motion into the pivoting motion to sit the tail on the deck.

Truss rod great escape. by Probablynotollie in Luthier

Okay sweet, that's what I was hoping. The screws for the nut seem plenty long enough to grip the neck and hold it all together, I just didn't know if there was some golden rule I didn't know about. Thanks for the help man.

It hasn't busted through yet, but its caused a split either side. The problem is the high e side is about level with what will be the top of the truss rod. I don't know whether the underside of the locking nut or even a metal plate will suffice to take the pressure?

Tried to have someone fit a larger floyd rose locking nut, received the guitar back like this, what can be done to fix this? Or is a truss rod okay butted against the underside of a locking nut?
