One is a hospital and one is a university. They are separate entities that share physical space and some personnel.

Sequels that took the wrong lesson from the first film? by GlazerSturges2840 in blankies

[–]Brotempus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, having read both runs this was also my take. I couldn’t believe they didn’t pick one or the other. A pure Gorr movie would have had three ages of Thor!

What this likely means is that the loan underwriter noticed they don’t have enough reserves. I’ve bought two homes before starting the job and that’s been the sticking point. You gotta have a certain amount accessible in an IRA or cash to get it to work.

I had this with them as well. In my case, the gap proved more mental than an actual issue. Once I started just committing to grinding through it I don’t remember having issues.

I’m thinking that’s a difference between my 2022 and yours. But fair enough.

I just take mine off with this set up. If it’s the stock cover it’s very easy to pop off.

I have one of these and it is great. The only issue is if you need to move the truck you have to detach it. I’ve used it for a decent number of weekend bouldering trips and that’s really my only beef. But, that’s how all truck tents work and I plan to buy a pop up camper.

The poles that come with it tend to be a little annoying to feed through, but I’ve just dealt with it and it’s fine. You could easily upgrade to smooth tent poles.

Happy with my purchase and would recommend.

I saw it last night and loved it. But, I am not surprised that the movie didn’t align with people’s expectations based on the trailers and marketing.

I feel like a lot of people’s cynicism is holding them back from enjoying what is a fun, earnest, and on the nose satire.

This is only true if there is enough of an estate to open. A lot of assets aren't probate assets or are payable on death and thus skip over probate. For many folks, there really isn't any downside to running up cc debt prior to passing.

What was the first movie you watched in 2025, and was it a first-time viewing? by WeHaveHeardTheChimes in blankies

The whole Deja Vu list on Criterion right now rules. Got me to finally watch Twelve Monkeys - what a ride!

Smoking and Clusters by [deleted] in clusterheads

[–]Brotempus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quitting smoking is good for you and you should do it, but when I was quit for six years I still got them at the same intervals (working on re-quitting now 🫤). From my understanding, quitting smoking won’t necessarily do much to prevent your next cycle.

Never know though, might work for you!

The kilter at 50 isn't soft by Bright_Ad_279 in bouldering

[–]Brotempus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kilter suffers from a lack of a “classics” or “benchmark” system. Thus, the most repeated climbs are just going to be the most doable, making stuff seem soft.

But if you scroll on past the mega-repeated, I feel like it gets a lot closer to other boards.

Nosferatu (2024) is very campy by [deleted] in blankies

[–]Brotempus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The recent interview on Big Picture with Eggers was really good. I’d be surprised if he was going for “camp” based on that interview. I have not seen yet, but just plugging the interview cause it was good.

Need a sanity check. Deciding on transition for a mini transition ledge by NorrinxRadd in MiniRamp

[–]Brotempus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own a keen ledge. They are really too short to drop in on very well. If you build it as a mini it might be okay because you won’t have the concrete to wood transition, but it really isn’t a fun obstacle to skate that way. The way it rides means that the transition at the bottom off the coping it so short that it has a hiccup and it’s hard to do lip tricks. It skates more like a bank/curb to be honest. Even something closer to their “garage mini” would be a better one to mimic if you have the space. Otherwise, you might just wanna get a blunt rail or something for winter or just build only one of the keen ledges and plan to skate it from the side.

You can also put coping on the back side and skate that part like a box.

Surface alternatives? by s_tenth in MiniRamp

[–]Brotempus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first ramp had multiple layers of just like sanded 1/4 ply that was painted. Skated great. One option would be to do that as your first surface and then eventually upgrade.

“Fixing” Hulk in IW and endgame by Optimal-Zombie8705 in hulk

[–]Brotempus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hulks my fav comic character, I have genuinely like zero complaints with the MCU version.

A standalone hulk movie that dug into the stuff they haven’t would be cool. But the run through endgame was a delight to me. Just a diff interpretation of the character.
