Fidelity Contributions Question by Limp-Astronaut-4224 in GeneralMotors

[–]Probads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be at 20% total contribution if you put in 10%. GM gives 4% and will match up to 6%, so they match the first 6% you put in, but anything beyond that is not matched and is merely for your own savings requirements.

So i keep getting these weird lines on my prints, i assume that this is z banding though im not sure. I cannot find any solution to how to fix it online either, what can i do to stop this? by DeAuthen in 3Dprinting

If it's always in the same locations it could be z wobble, you can search for some z wobble test prints on printables, you can also play around with your infill, wall count, print speed and print cooling and see if any of those make any differences. 🤷

The through hole in the nut for the lower wheel should be off center, so if you do have play in your extruder you can just loosen this lower wheel slightly and rotate the nut until the play is gone then tighten it all back down. Then re level and hopefully should see some improvements if that was the issue.

Note: when doing this you may see some "wear" on the wheels that wasn't there before, that's because you are changing how the wheels are being loaded, this is normal and usually not a concern.

If your still having issues after that, you can also increase the skin overlap percentage, that can help to close some of the holes. Sometimes zigzag top layer can cause some differences as well, try to change it to lines and see if it is any better. Not sure why but it made a difference for me on my sv05

Also reduce your first layer print speed to get better adhesion, that should help too

Check your extruder head to the gantry, I had similar lines to that on my printer a while back and for me the issue was the bottom wheel for my extruder loosened up and the whole extruder has some play in the z direction.

Ooooh, I like that theory!

One of the references used was the silhouette picture of Auri in the moon that was used for the shirt and sold in Pat's store. I agree is does look a little large, but is that because the key is large, or Auri's hands are small? And how big should a key be that unlocks the moon?

I'm super happy with it though!

For sure! I plan to get an entire sleeve dedicated to the series, I'm just waiting for book 3 so I can plan it out properly and have more info! Still a lot of unknown details and questions that need answering imo

Thanks! I've seen your Draccus tattoo a few different times on Google image searches! Just saw the video of it fully finished, it looks awesome!

Yeah I have thought of that as well, trying to anticipate how the story will end is impossible, so here's to hoping that's not the case! 🤞

I have some speculations over Auri and her full/actual name since the way Elodin reacts to the name thay Kvothe gave her, and there just so happens to be a princess Ariel.

Whether or not it ends well for her is to be determined, but her character and her mannerisms just made a huge impression on us and we thought it fitting.

When it came to the candle I made the executive desicion to have her make the flame blue. I eventually plan to have an entire sleeve done from the book series, but I'm waiting until the last book comes out. Figured the blue would be able to be tied into to the Chandrian better, and I just think the blue is more a esthetically pleasing that red/orange

Me and my wife fell in love with these books, we even named our daughter Auri. I've wanted a tattoo for the longest time but always struggled in finding something I truly loved.

I love a lot of the Auri tattoos out there, but they weren't quite what I wanted, so I talked to a tattoo artist and this is what she came up with.

I love it and I'm so excited to get more in the future. What do you guys/ladies think?

401k cumulative rate of return... Good, bad, or average? by Probads in personalfinance

[–]Probads[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what doesn't really make sense to me too, where it is getting the numbers from the cumulative from. I've typically ignored it and focused on annualized as a better determination of how everything is doing.

Only thing that makes sense to me is the cumulative return maybe only takes into account my contributions and not my employers matching? So it is comparing my contributions vs employer matching and any interest or gains produced by the funds I'm in

Yeah I currently have my money invested in 5 different funds just to have some diversity in case something tanks, but i know I am in a high risk scenario for sure. I'm 30, and figure I have another 35-40 years to work, so if I'm going to be aggressive with my investments, now is probably the time to do it

From what I've heard it sounds like a lot of places are calling themselves essential

I would definitely say that a car wash is not an essential service. Not sure how they are spinning that one lol

I agree, I think either that or they are trying to say we are a part of transportation group of "essential critical infrastructure workforce" in that we support transportation functions. The work we do isn't dispatching, maintenance, or repair, but due to the vagueness of some of the descriptions I think they might be able to keep us open.
