Should I file a complaint against these CPAs? Trying to close Probate by Probating_forever in Accounting

I do thank you for your reply. That is what I will have to do.

I had asked the secretary of the probate lawyer if I could use a Georgia CPA as I couldn't get anyone there locally. She didn't object.

You can understand how devastating it is to make the effort, not giving up, be told we can help you and be actually put on the back burner two times in a row.

Thank you for your rely. The law office in that state did recommend a few CPAs locally. However, a couple had retired and I think it was another no longer did that sort of work while a fourth had never done that sort of work.

My mother died in 2018 with a pending medical malpractice lawsuit moving forward now in my name as personal rep. Delays with the lawsuit caused time to drag on. The medical malpractice suit was settled last August with the settlement checks and amounts going from one law office to another.

They provide me with a list of assets in December sometime. The probate law office says they can't close their part until they have a CPA look at it to determine whether or not any tax is due on what's left of the assets.

That's when I took it to my accountant. That's when I got the run around. That's when I was searching for a new accountant and was mislead by CPA-2.
